Kerastase Discipline Shampoo Review

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by Kerastase, I purchased this product with my own money. I needed to find a new shampoo for curly thick hair, and this worked it's magic.

Hello and welcome to another review! I've discovered a new love and of course I wanted to share it with you lovely people! What are your plans? I've just finished watching stranger things season one! Oh my gosh I'm obsessed, if you haven't seen it, watch it! Season two is coming out in October, I can't wait! Anyhow, if you adore hair products, (and your hair is way out of control), you will love this!

THE PACKAGING:

As you all know by now, I'm a packaging addict! If it looks pretty I'm suckered into buying it ... I know it's a bad trait, but I can't help it. Come on though, it's rose gold! Where have you ever seen rose gold shampoo packing? I can guarantee you've never seen it! If you have you'll understand why I'm obsessed. Anyhow, I find the matte bottle and shiny rim around the lid so elegant and eye-catching. It beats the typical colour scheme of: blue, white and red. Kerastase is highly innovative, and their packaging reflects how well their products perform, believe me I've been using their merchandise for a number of years; and I've always been impressed with the quality of the design and the performance. In addition to this, I love how they've maintained the same font, simply because you can differentiate their brand from all the others, as well as keeping their sophisticated image. They are consistent throughout, which makes not only me, but their loyal customers devoted to the brand; too big of a change and it can make people run in the other direction. On the other hand, Kerastase colour co-ordinate hair type, for example rose gold is for curly thick hair, whereas dry hair is an emerald green. It helps customers remember what colour to go for, instead of reading the small print and getting confused and impatient. I think that's enough about packaging don't you think? Let's move onto the performance!

THE PRODUCT:

Here to the main event! Does it actually work? From all the positive connotations, yes it does work, but I don't know if it'll work for all hair types. From my perspective I have exceedingly thick hair, to the point where I have to get my fiance to brush the back; it actually hurts my arms. For a while I was using Kerastase damage shampoo, and I enjoyed it, but the formula was too dense and didn't distribute as well as I's hoped. So I went back to the drawing board and tried something new, which is why this review is being written. Let me just say, Kerastase really nailed it on the head with this unruly hair shampoo! It's creamy in consistency, and the lava level is out of this world! It's reaches to the scalp and the ends of your hair, it feels squeaky clean and smells beautiful! Although when I saw the bottle I was sceptical, simply because it wasn't very big in comparison to my other shampoo package. But a little really does go a long way, which is fantastic. I've owned this product for just over two months, and I haven't even gone through half; I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, so I'm not going easy on the product either. I believe that by the end of October it'll disappear, and yes I'll be repurchasing the same shampoo, it works well for me, so why not.

THE PRICE:

Now the dreaded price, something that people hate. Is it a lot of money? You can make the decision based on: how much you need the product, and how care-free you are with your money. You earn it, purchase whatever you fancy. I purchased this from my local hairdressers Stonehills, and retailed for £18.60; which is the same price online. Now some people may say, wow that's a bit excessive, in my opinion, no. I was searching for the perfect shampoo that could really clean out my hair, and reduce frizz, this product does that 100%; it makes it easier to brush when soaking wet and damp, (which Chris loves). In addition to this, as mentioned previously, it's lasted me over 2 months, and I haven't even used up half of the product. If this is too much for you there are plenty of drugstore shampoo's out there, Aussie is a great alternative; but I do prefer my Kerastase to be perfectly honest.

Anyhow, this is now the end of my blog post! I have something else coming out tomorrow! It'll be in the advice category, and I'm also planning on making a YouTube video as well; so keep tuned for that! I hope you have a wonderful day, I will see you Little Ones tomorrow! I love you all so very much! x x x

Good morning! As promised here's another blog post! Prewarning, if you don't enjoy long winded chatty posts, you probably won't like this one; simply because as you can tell by the title, it's a life update. Anyway, how have you all been? I know it's only been a day, but I care about you! After I've written this I'm heading to John Lewis to purchase a new bag! Believe me I'm in need of a new one. I may even do a review, (depending if I find something I like). Wow, I'm rambling again, ever so sorry! Let's get back to the post! I have no idea how I'm going to write this, it may be in an array of questions; but why not go with the flow.

Where to start? Let's roll the dice ... Engaged life? How is it? Sounds silly, but exactly the same as being with someone, but I guess it's nice having a gorgeous ring. I'm kidding, my sarcasm sounds realistic (my fiance is always telling me off).  I love being engaged, in my opinion it refreshes the relationship, it feels new again, not like the past 2 years have been awful; they've been the best years in my life. I must say, having a ring on my finger is exquisite, it makes me feel special, as well as proud, it's a sign that I belong to someone; and evidently that's the case. On the other hand, it's daunting, it's a huge commitment (obviously), I said yes because I knew that I wanted to be with Christopher for the rest of my life, I didn't say it just for the sake of it. People constantly ask me if I regret not being free for a longer period of time. But the party life, or single life doesn't appeal to me personally. I've always relished being in a relationship; but that's my personal opinion, whereas someone else may love the single life. There's not much to say about it really, my relationship is as strong as ever, we get on really well; he's my best friend and I couldn't be any happier to be perfectly honest.
Let's see what else there is to talk about? Well I did finish my first year of University with a FIRST! Yes a FIRST! I'm so extremely happy! But obviously I need to keep this up for 2 years, which I will! I believe that I'm going to write a blog post on my first year as a whole, because so much went on ... But I'm also planning on writing how to prepare for first year, (as I've experienced it), because it's important; and some people may not be mentally or physically prepared. In regards to University I'm heading into my second year, and I'm totally excited! I get to pick what I want to specialise in Marketing, and I couldn't be more thrilled! In terms of where I'm going to be living ... It's stressful yet exhilarating, we know what town we want to move into, and we've booked viewings for the properties, it's just the case of going through all the paperwork, moving into the place and making it look beautiful, (which Chris has left me in charge of). Which I really do appreciate, no offence to him, but his interior design isn't the best.
Last but not least, I've bagged myself a new job! Still in the phone industry, but so much happier! Not as stressful as my last job, and my new team is wonderful, the funniest group of people I have ever met! Although one of them is leaving to go back to University, but she's coming back in December; so I'm really excited! Plus I'm in charge of proof reading her work, so she can't leave me just yet.

Other than that, everything that needed to be said has been said! A lot has gone on in a short space of time, but I'm content that it's fallen into place! I was getting extremely depressed that I couldn't write my blog posts; but I'm back and so thrilled! Anyhow I better shoot off, time to shop for some bags, I hope it doesn't take too long, but then again I'm so fussy! I will either see you later on today with a review of a new shampoo I've been loving, or tomorrow! Either way I will be back!
I love you all so very much! I will see you soon Little Ones! Stay safe and stay tuned! :) x x x

Product Review-Clarins Hydra-Essentiel SPF 15

Good afternoon! How have you all been? I've been incredibly busy, which will all make sense shortly I promise! I can't believe the summer holidays is over! September already! I'm hoping you've enjoyed the sunshine, if not then the rain! Please let me know what you've all been up to, it'll put a smile on my face! Anyhow, you are all here for a review, are you not? If skincare is one of your beloved subjects, then you'll enjoy this read.
P.S, I didn't misspell Essential in the title, it's the way Clarins have spelt it!

THE PACKAGING:

Let's jump in shall we? We all know Clarins as sophisticated yet refreshing, and this product screams those phrases! I'm a massive fan of Clarins skincare, more so than their make-up line, but they nailed this product on the head. I'm sucked in by packaging, first impression are incredibly significant to me, if it looks great I'm going to buy it ... Is that a bad thing? Not always, but you can't just judge a product by looks, it could seem fantastic and then when you use it, FAIL ... But this wasn't the case for me, it's perfect and I will tell you why later on.  Any how, I'm drifting away from the main topic ... When I submerged the moisturiser from the box I was memorised by the calming blue shade, it's so crisp and refreshing, reminds me of the waves and automatically puts me in a content mood ... Clarins already knew this piece of information, thus the reasoning of colour, it's perfect for skincare. When you think of skincare, you think of wanting to be detoxed. On the other hand, the box surrounding the product reminds me of prescription medical creams ... Not something I want to think about when applying my morning moisturiser. It's a little boring, but hey it's just the box, it's something I throw out, otherwise it'll stay in a corner and get lost; plus I don't need the clutter.

THE PRODUCT:

This is the juicy part that everyone has been waiting for! Does it actually work, and is it worth investing in? Yes and yes! But let me give you some facts and reasons why, otherwise what's the point on a review? In my perspective when I started using it a few weeks ago, the cream is cold to the touch-which I personally adore, because it wakens me up in the morning, and it also cools me down and makes me feel clean. Some people may not like this, but I really enjoy it, but everyone is different, (obviously). Secondly, when you rub this into your skin it feels velvety, glides really easily and not greasy! I've tried numerous moisturisers, and when they claim to be "extremely nourishing" they tend to be exceedingly oily; which isn't the look I'm going for unfortunately. On the other hand, after I've applied the product my skin feels silky smooth and I love it! It makes me want to stroke my face for hours on end, although I do make my fiance feel my face afterwards, and he always has the same opinion; "yes your face is really smooth", it's not a computer part so he doesn't care for it. Now what's left to talk about? Oh yes, the continuous usage! As mentioned previously I've been using this product for a few weeks, and a little goes a long way, hence why it looks like I've barely used it in the pictures above! I haven't broken out at all, if anything my skin seems more radiant than ever before, which is outstanding. I have VERY dry skin, and this has kept it in line! I normally have stubborn dry patches around my t-zone, and they have said goodbye! Although something I should mention, this wouldn't be great for oily skin, I think that's very obvious but I wouldn't recommend! I tried it out on my fiance (he has oily skin), and he hated it; he felt uncomfortable and wiped it off almost immediately. Other than that, this would be perfect for normal to very dry skin types.

THE PRICE:

Now for the final showdown! It all comes down to price ... If you don't mind splurging on expensive skincare this may not bother you; but for others it may. It does retail for £36, which some will say is too expensive, and others will not. Me personally it doesn't bother me, but simply because I NEED something that hydrates my skin, otherwise it bleeds and cracks; it becomes incredibly painful for me. I can justify spending a great amount of money on moisturisers, simply because it's a necessity for me. For some of you it will be as well, if you can't afford this, I would suggest it's something to save up for. If your skin cracks up in the winter this will be your bestfriend I can promise you that.
If this product is something that you are interested in, then I highly suggest clicking the link below, even if it's for browsing purposes.
All I know is that it was worth every penny for me, and I will definitely be buying another one when this runs out.

Anyhow, this is the end of this blog post! I hope you enjoyed the read! I will see you again Sunday with an update on how I have been doing this past few months, and what my plans are for the future! I hope you have all had a wonderful day! Stay safe and stay tuned Little Ones! :) x x x
