JANUARY FAVOURITES:

Good afternoon Little Ones! I've been running around keeping myself busy as per usual, it's about time that I've sat down in front of my computer, and crafted a blog post for you. I don't think I've written about my monthly favourites here before on the blog, but it's time for a change!
If you want to read about what I've been loving this past month, then scroll down .
Also, I've gained several questions on my new first tattoo, believe me a blog post is coming, hold your horses Little Ones!
Without any further or do, let's crack on with my January favourites!

CATH KIDSTON 2018 DIARY:

Typical Amy adheres to staying organised! And nothing says sticking to her routes than a traditional yearly diary. Keeping on top of daily tasks, no matter how tedious or simple they may be, is significant, (for me anyway).
I always purchase a yearly dairy which obtains several sections, for example, this book has a detailed overview of all the months, and if you want to target a specific date, as well as interjecting several tasks to fulfil, you can do just that.
I love how so much thought went into the design features, it remained iconic in traditional Cath Kidston style, quirky and enchanting; which matches my personality perfectly.
In relation to the size of the book, it's just a tad smaller than standard A4, which makes it easy to carry around in your handbag, so if anything comes into mind, you can jot it down straight away.
If flowers aren't your style then I can imagine this isn't you cup of tea, and I can hear my mother now, "God that looks awful", well I adore it, so hush.

MINI EGG DESERT:

I'm not the only human that relishes a treat here and there ... I came across this wonder on my weekly shop, and seeing that I'm addicted to anything Cadbury, I thought I would give this a try. I would have showcased the inner beauty, but ... I may have eaten this desert in the making of this blog post; what can I say, it's irresistible. Anyhow, as soon as you peel the lid back, you are met with two delicious compartments, one which holds the typical Cadbury creamy chocolate, and the other beholds several mini eggs ... Mix the pair together and you have created happiness itself.
Who needs a man when you have this?

GARNIER SKINACTIVE MICELLAR OIL-INFUSED CLEANSING WATER:

Wow that was a mouthful to type ... Try saying it! I've been on the hunt to try and discover the most cost effective way to remove the first stages of my make-up. I traditionally use my YesTo face-wipes, but after a while they become exceedingly expensive. I wanted to put micellar water to the test, and see if it lasted longer than the standard 25 facial wipes, I may also add that I would have to repurchase my wipes 3 times a month, costing a total of, £16.
I purchased the Garnier micellar water for £4.99, which was the same price as my wipes, on top of that I separately bought cotton pads, which reached a grand total of, £6.99.
I made these purchases at the beginning of the month, I'm only halfway through the bottle, and I use this twice a day! Not only that, I still have cotton pads left over ... For an entire month I only spent £6.99, saving £10! And it does a better job than the wipes! Doesn't irritate my eyes, removes more makeup, saves time, and replenishes the natural oils in my dry skin; it's an all win situation.

YSL BLACK OPIUM PERFUME:

Well hello there again, I've seen you here before ... This is my beloved all time favourite perfume, nothing has managed to top this sexy scent, and I don't think it's humanly possible. What else is there to be said? I've mentioned everything ... Ascetically pleasing, longevity is out of this world, the scent itself is to die for; this will forever remain in my favourites of the month.
This is my third bottle I believe, I without such a romantic relationship with this perfume, that I have a travel size, which I ALWAYS carry around with me; as well as the full-monty on my bedside table ... I can't resist.
If you are on the hunt for a new perfume, look no further, head to the closet store that stocks this beauty and smell it! I promise you, you won't be disappointed, apart from your bank account; as it's not the cheapest perfume in the world.

MAYBELLINE FIT ME CONCEALER:

Amy has manged to obtain the perfect drugstore concealer, can I get an amen! I never thought this was going to be attainable ... A pasty girl like me, has managed to find a killer drugstore concealer, I don't mean to offend anybody, but I normally head towards the higher-end counter; as my complexion resembles death. Try and find a shade for that in Superdrug, I dare you!
January has been the month for me finding fantastic drugstore make-up, you'll find out why shortly, but this is number one on the list! Yes, the packaging isn't to die for, but the beauty is held inside! The colour match, it couldn't be anymore spot on, the texture is so creamy, glides on like a dream ... And the coverage? Don't get me started! PERFECTION! It brightens my under-eyes, I feel like Jesus himself, if you suffer with dark eyes, look no further, this is your bestfriend ... Try it out, Maybelline have a tone of shades! I'm the lightest, (no surprise there); if you are just as deadly as me, you'll adore the shade 05.

MAYBELLINE DREAM SATIN FOUNDATION:

A drugstore concealer and foundation in the same monthly favourites, I'm on a roll! Let's get the slight negativity out of the way, I picked up the shade 02 fair beige, the colour match is nearly there, but slightly too dark, matched with the concealer it doesn't look so obvious.
But ... The way this applies cancels anything negative about the foundation, it goes on better than my Dior skin foundation ... And that was triple the price! I'm not mad about the coverage either, leaves such a luminous finish, I fell in love with it as soon as this soaked into my skin.
The only other drawback is when this breaks away, you have to powder the face, or it starts to look greasy, but to get to that point, you have to have this foundation on for 6 plus hours, which is insane!
I just love this foundation, I've been using it everyday, since I discovered it, if only Maybelline offered a lighter shade, I would be 100% happy with my purchase.

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA:

This is the first ever mascara that I have ever featured on this blog, and my YouTube channel, this is also the first mascara I have purchased in over 5 years ... Several years ago, Amy discovered that no matter how much money she spent on mascara, or products to improve the appearance of her eyelashes ... NOTHING WORKED. So she gave up ... Until she thought to herself years later, 'maybe I should try something new, don't spend too much money'.
Here we are today, 2018 ... and for the first time, I'm recommending the perfect mascara. When I tell you have the worlds most stubborn eyelashes, I'm not lying. They are dead straight, and refuse to hold a curl. I thought all hope was lost, until I picked this up and tried it.
Oh my word, the length this gives is magical, and it even holds a slight curl, which is impressive for me! Chris thought I was wearing fake eyelashes; which is the nicest compliment! BELIEVE ME! TRY THIS FOR YOURSELF! If it works for me, this will work on anybody! The wand is impressive, the curved side reaches each individual lash, lifts and holds it in place, but do be careful, because if you apply too much, it does clump up.

FEMFRESH POST SHAVE BALM:

Ladies, put your hands up if you hate razor burn? I expect you are waving your arms frantically? This will be your Godsend of a product, wherever you decide to shave, whether that be: legs, armpits, vagina ... You don't want spikes of hell piercing through your skin.
As soon as you jump out of the shower, place this on the freshly shaven area, it immediately cools it down, and really reduces razor burn.
When I first saw this product launched, I tutted away and din't think too much about it, I saw an offer at Boots and thought, 'what the heck', placed it in my basket ... That was the moment I purchased a life saver.
There's nothing much to say, but EVERYTHING! A tiny bit goes a long way, but mainly say goodbye to ugly red bumps, and hello to sexy smooth skin!

Right Little Ones! That was it for today's blog post, I really do hope you enjoyed the read! I loved typing away! If you want to see more monthly favourites then please do let me know, use the comment section down below; or my social media handles!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, I'm about to practice some make-up looks for my upcoming shoot, as well as purchasing some new underwear; I have something saucy lined up!
I love you all so very much, remember to stay safe and stay tuned! Bye Little Ones! :) x x x

LIPSTICK DUPES:

Good evening Little Ones! I have an exciting new blog post! No it's not a product review, recipe, or even a haul. As you can tell by the title of this post, it's a lipstick dupe recommendations! I have been wanting to do this for a while; but seeing that it's time consuming, I found it hard to find the time to do this to the best of my abilities! But here we are, and I can't wait to share this with you.
Without any further or do, I present you with my lipstick dupes!

MAC LIQUID LIPSTICK VS L'OREAL LIP PAINT:

Our first competitor is the Mac liquid lipstick-topped with brandy for  £17.50, this was my first ever liquid lipstick, and it set high standards. The colour is beautiful, the longevity is magnificent, and it suits all skin-tones; to find something half the price was going to be a challenge, (so I thought).
A few months down the line, L'Oreal happened to launch their very own versions of liquid lipsticks; seeing that I was already a fan on their products, I decided to purchase a few from the collection.
I landed with the shade 219, a stunning purple-grey, but it reminded me of something I already owned, the formulation is great, glides on well but sometimes goes patchy, which isn't the end of the world; seeing that it was £6.99.
In comparison to the Mac liquid lipstick, the colour is just as elegant, but the formulation wasn't as easy to apply, and also, it didn't last as long. But so what if you have to re-apply? If it saves £10, are you really going to fuss?

CHANEL LIPSTICK VS RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK:

First and foremost, my Chanel lipstick in the shade 402 retails for, £28, I originally purchased this when I went to France, and fell in love with it immediately. This was perfect for the christening later on that day, and it lasted such a long time, and even stayed after a huge meal ... Which still shocks me, as it's a glossy lipstick.
When I headed back to the UK, I paraded Boots, since I was growing my lipstick collection, I decided to repurchase a few lipsticks, one of them being the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick, in the shade 03.
Again, I thought to myself, I wonder if that would be similar to my Chanel lipstick, I swatched them side by side, and they were a match! The texture is near enough the same, as well as the colour, (obviously); and they last about the same time. The only main difference between them is the finish, the Chanel lipstick is more glossy, whereas the Rimmel is matte.

ESTEE LAUDER VS MAYBELLINE GIGI HADID:

Now we all know I'm not a stranger to reds ... But I did start somewhere, and that just so happened to be Estee Lauder pure envy lipstick, in the shade 370, which retails for, £26. I knew what I wanted, and I needed to start the classic red lipstick look; with only the best.
Let me just say, the pigmentation is out of this world, and it lasts all day! Even when you take this beauty off, it leaves a subtle pink glow, which if you are going for a no-makeup look the next day; this is perfect!
Now, when I felt confident with red lipstick, I wanted to branch out to several brands, I landed upon Gigi Hadid's collection; and everyone was raving about it! So I followed the crowd, and decided to buy a few lipsticks, one I adore, which is the shade Austin ... Again, the pigmentation is phenomenal! This is probably the best drug-store lipstick I have ever come across, the only main differences between the two lipsticks is the finish, Estee Lauder is more glossy, whereas the Maybelline is matte. And the fact that the Maybelline lipstick retails for, £8.99, which is a massive saving of over £10, why not go for the cheaper option?

BAREMINERALS VS BOURJOIS

Well hello there Bareminerals ... I love your liquid lipsticks, I just so happen to have quite a few in my collection, the newest edition to the family happens to be flawless. Hello? The texture of this lipstick is so whipped, and it doesn't dry my lips to hell, like other liquid lipsticks. And the colour range? Absolutely alluring, I have to have them all! (One day)
But that can come to a hasty cost, as these babies come to a total of £18 each, which if you are on a budget, can be a shock. So I was on the hunt for a dupe, for half the price!
Eventually, I came across Bourjois liquid lipstick range, they had so many enchanting colours, but I decided that 07 was the closest, it was more pink than I wanted it to be; but it was nearly there. Both textures were identical, they were whipped which I really liked, and they both had the same finish, (dried down matte). The only main difference was the staying power, the Bareminerals lasted a lot longer, but the Bourjois only costs, £8.49, which is a fraction of the price, so what if you have to keep applying throughout the day.

We have hit the end of the blog post, I really enjoyed writing this piece, and if you want to see other dupe products, I have a tonne in my make-up collection; it's all down to you Little Ones! Whatever you want, I will meet your needs.
I love you all so very much, and it feels so good to be back writing in my happy place! I will see you again Wednesday! Although, I have been thinking of writing a blog post everyday? What do you think?
Anyhow, remember to stay safe and stay tuned! :) x x x

If you are interested in ANY of the products mentioned, I will link them down here for you!

Highlighter make-up review

Sleek Highlighter Palette Solstice

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by sleek, I have bought several make-up lines from them, they produce really good products; it's just a matter of opinion.

Good morning you lovely people! I told you what I was going to be reviewing yesterday and it went crazy! So many people loved this idea and wanted me to write this ASAP! I have just come back home from my training, so I thought that I would treat you all and give you what you want!
If you love sleek, and want to know more about their beautiful highlight palette, have a little read down below :).

 PACKAGING:

Unquestionably stunning. Everything about this palette is beautiful! I'm not much of a gold person, but this is impeccable, it really compliments the highlighters, and the highlighters compliment the gold. When you take this out of the black box you are blinded by the beauty of the packing. This is unlike sleek, they normally keep their make-up palettes in matte black; but this is completely different. Sleek have interjected their staple font on the front of the palette, the elegant swirls make it feel expensive, it makes me feel that I have put my money into something that not only looks beautiful, but high quality; as they have spent so much time and effort into making sure that it's ecstatically pleasing.
On the other hand, just like always Sleek always puts massive mirrors in their palettes, not only are they big but they are real glass. Some drugstore palettes use plastic instead of glass; this to me is cheap and nasty. Whereas Sleek have the upper hand, not only are they really affordable, but they puts higher end aspects like glass in their products, to ensure that their customers are getting everything they need in their make-up palettes. Also the pan size of the highlighters is generous, it may not seem wide, but they are very much deep; Sleek have managed to pack as much product as they physically can into this palette, and give you 4 choices at the same time. In addition to this, I love the way in which all the highlighters are separated, some make-up brands like YSL have merged their highlighters together, this to me appears messy. Whereas Sleek have made it neat and tidy, a small but very important factor to me, in my opinion.

THE PRODUCT:

Their are a total of 4 highlighters, which are as followed:
  • Ecliptic
This is the creamy highlighter, it's bursting with pigment and looks beautiful when applied to the skin. As seen in the swatches above, ecliptic appears to look like a dark rose shade, in the sunlight it shines beautifully and brings colour to the face instantly. For me this is perfect, simply because I don't use blush, this for me in my blush; it turns my face into a young rose; while also making me glow healthily. On the other hand, the wear power on this is insane! Because it's cream based it won't budge! I wore this for at least 8 hours of the day and it was still there when I had to take it off at night, I have constantly been complemented for wearing this, and also been asked where it was from. They were shocked when I said Sleek because they are a drugstore brand.
  • Hemisphere:Beautiful lilac powder, it's very shimmery and pigmented, and when caught by light it shines even brighter. When I use this I apply it to my cheekbones, simply because it adds colour to my face, and works brilliantly with ecliptic! I use the two of these products on my cheekbones, as they are similar colours they work well; this powder looks in the colour of ecliptic really well! On the other hand, I have tried this product on it's own, and it still has 6 hours of lasting power! The powder is such a nice consistency, it feels like butter melting, very easy to blend and to work with.
  • Subsolar:
If you want to SHINE then use this! Because the colour of this highlighter is pastel toned it shines brightly on it's own, when the sun catches this your face will be shining like the sun! It gives such a nice natural and healthy glow! I apply this on my forehead and my nose, simply because I want them to dazzle in the sunlight! Even when it's not sunny I want to be glowing inside and out. The texture of this highlighter is different from all the others, still fantastic; but it has a velvet feel, which is amazing for blending and mixing with other products. This highlighter lasts a very long time! This is placed on the oiliest part of my face, and it remains them until the very end of the day.
  • Equinox:
Bronze heaven! This is perfection if you want to bronze up your face, because this is what I use it for! If you are heading on holiday, or if  you are as pale as me and you need colour and a healthy glow, you need this in your life! It's so very beautiful, the colour payoff is fantastic, as portrayed in the images above. I also use this under my contour, it really sculpts my face and makes it glow effortlessly; it gives you the appearance that you just come back from holiday. Just like the other highlighter shades, it lasts very long, and it's like butter! It blends out very well, so if you think you have put too much on, you can blend it away with ease.
In summary these together highlight your features and go together so well! I use each of this shades almost everyday! I also adore the fact that Sleek have named them after space, simply because space in bright and magnificent, and it shines through in each of these highlighters.

PRICE:

I still can't believe how cheap these are, for all four shades and a beautiful looking palette it's ... £9.99! I know I still can't believe it! This is completely worth the money, they are highly pigmented, easy to blend and to work with, and works with all skin types and colours! I'm so pale and it brings out the best in my, I know my bestfriend is much darker than me, and this is so beautiful on her skin colour.

This is the end of my blog post! I'm so glad to of written this and reviewed this product, I really want to review other Sleek products! I am heading to France next week, I will be vlogging my experience and keep you up to date as much as possible! I will either see you later on today or tomorrow, but it will be a vegan recipe!
I love you all so very much, see you soon! Keep safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x
