Good evening Little Ones, time for an old-fashioned first impressions! It's been a while since I've conducted one of these, (due to the fact I'm impatient and dive into products too quickly). But seeing that I've managed to obtain such self-restraint, here we are ... With a brand I have never mentioned on this blog before, say hello to the endearing, Tom Ford.
If you wish to find out my first impressions scroll away! Admire the gorgeous photography!
To ensure you are keeping up to date with my recent blog posts, click here!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS | PACKAGING:

Love at first sight. The reflective crocodile exterior is extraordinary. Professionalism, seductive and dangerous, I felt empowered in the presence of such beauty. Tom Ford, (slow clapping), I hold my hat to you, the simplistic elegant design had me melting, and I hadn't yet freed the lipstick.
As soon as I unveiled the prize within, I was shocked, I never thought a beauty product could be this breath-taking.
Delicate, vulnerable and beautiful, it feels like a crime to ruin such an iconic piece of make-up. Everything down to Tom Ford's initial on the tip of the lipstick, makes every penny you spent on this wonder worth it. The memorising golden parallel lines submerging around the lipstick, almost acting as a barrier screams grace. Such a simple design, but being uncomplicated in this circumstance is paying off.
Just gazing at this product gives me high hopes that the performance is just as thrilling, who else would create such a wonderful package that didn't stay consistent with appearances?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS | THE PERFORMANCE:

Let's begin with application. Glided on like a dream, didn't tug at my lips, one swipe and my eyes witnessed intense pigmentation; which shocked me with such an innocent shade.
The knife-like applicator made it exceedingly easy to reach the sides of my mouth, as well as carving out my cupid-bow. The more I applied the more I fell in love with this lipstick.
A few moments past and I could see the formula drying down into velvet, it was soft to touch and didn't transfer, (I knew this was going to be a great lipstick).
The colour is flattering, which I didn't think was possible on my skin-tone, me and pink don't normally get along.
The hours ticked by, I applied this beauty 7 hours ago and it's still on my lips, I've drank out of fresh-juice bottles, eaten noodles, (which are extremely messy), and this bad-boy has stuck its ground.
Needless to say, this is a fantastic performer.
Is my bank account going to hate me? Yes, do I have more shades arriving? yes again.
Before I forget, the shade name is, Age of consent, why wouldn't you want this shade?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS | PRICE:

Yes, the price is a kick in the teeth, there is no denying that ... £40 is dear. But, I'm a make-up collector, more specifically in lipsticks, I'm obsessed, it's OK, please don't send help.
With lipsticks, paying the higher price is always worth it, I'm not saying Maybelline isn't fantastic, because I adore their matte range.
But I want longevity with a lipstick, this is where my higher-end range kicks in ... This lipstick has lasted 7 hours, and could last more. None of my drugstore lipsticks have managed to last that long.
Yes, you're paying for the name, but you are also paying for quality.
If you want a lipstick that's going to stay by your side, count Tom Ford in.

If you don't have the coin for Tom Ford, there are plenty of cheaper options out there! Yes, this is expensive, and I'm not saying buy the whole range, but if you want to treat yourself, go ahead this is worth the splurge.
If you are interested in this lipstick the link is down below for you! Saves hunting it down yourself!

This is now the end of my blog post, I do hope you enjoyed the read, these lipsticks are worth the hype. There are plenty of other shades if this one isn't for you.
If you want to see more first impressions, please do let me know! I do have another blog post coming out tomorrow, stay tuned for that!
Have a lovely day! Remember to stay safe and stay tuned! :) x x x

DARING PHOTO SHOOT

LINGERIE PHOTO SHOOT

Snapchat: amymrmcguire

YOUTUBE: MissRoseMcGuire

Good afternoon Little Ones! How have you all been? I've just received my outcomes from a shoot I did on Tuesday 13th February, and I'm so pleased! This was my first "sexy" shoot, I never thought I'd be given this opportunity, or have the confidence, but I did it, and loved every single moment. If you want to read about my personal experience, and look at the photographs, be my guest, have a scroll!
To ensure you are keeping up to date with previous blog posts, click here! Without any further or do, let's roll on my first lingerie photo shoot.

ALSO I EDITED ALL THE BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES, THE COLOURED VERSIONS ARE TRULY MIA MARKINS WORK, THAT'S THE WAY SHE WANTS YOU TO VIEW HER PHOTOGRAPHS.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

Mia Markin (the photographer) had an overall objective of what she wanted to achieve, her initial concept was female form, Mia wanted to showcase several ways in which females are presented.
In this specific shoot, her idea was to place me in a natural surrounding and mirror what I do in the morning, lighting remained crucial as she wanted to capture several shadows which enhanced female form. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't forgiving, some of the images didn't make the final cut, as it was too bright and wasn't what she was looking for.
Although, her other main focus was females' key attributes: breast, collar-bone, hips and bottom, as portrayed in the first image, the main emphasis is my collar-bone and cleavage. These features
differentiates women from men, and seeing that this module is based on female form; Mia thought to portray the key features of a women, and photograph these elements differently.

HOW I FELT BEFORE AND AFTER THE SHOOT:

Exceedingly nervous. Evidently, I'm no stranger to photo shoots, I've grown accustomed to several photographers taking images of me, but never in my underwear. If someone had asked me to do that a year ago, I would have laughed in their face.
Mia made me feel so relaxed, we were laughing throughout, which helped my nerves subside. Something else I should mention, Mia was completely content, especially when I felt anxious about a particular position,  although after a while it became natural, I felt at ease with her and didn't care that she could see me in my underwear.
Our passion for  photography helped break the ice, I put forward ideas which she followed through with, and others not so much; but we were experimenting, besides this was her piece of work; I just helped her portray her overall image.
When it was time to wrap up, gratitude and pleasure engorged my anxiety, I was so pleased that I managed to go through with the idea of being photographed in my underwear. It's something that I've always wanted to do, but NEVER had the confidence to actually go through with it.
On a daily basis I head over to Instagram and wonder, 'why don't I look like that?' It's so unhealthy to compare yourself to other individuals, but it happens. This photo shoot for a few moments made me feel fantastic, and that I didn't need to compare myself to others.

WHAT DO I THINK OF THE IMAGES?

Initially, when I knew I was going to be photographed in underwear, I thought I would hate the way I looked, but Mia took the images in such a way,  it complimented my assets, without revealing too much. I adore Mia's work, and I can't wait to work with her in the near future.
Mia has a natural talent when it comes to photography, I pondered on an Instagram post which made me fall in love with her work. She kindly came all the way down from Norwich to my home town ... Which takes 2/3 hours. She's an amazing person, if you ever get the chance to work with her, consider yourself grateful.

Right Little Ones, this is the end of my blog post, I hope you enjoyed the read as well as the photography! If you want to see Mia's work, click the link below, that takes you directly to her portfolio!
If you want to see more photo shoots please do let me know! I love you all so very much, and I will see you tomorrow in a book review!
Remember to stay safe and stay tuned! :) x x x

MY VERY FIRST TATTOO EXPERIENCE

FIRST TATTOO:

Snapchat: amymrmcguire
Email: missamymcguire@hotmail.com
YOUTUBE: MissRoseMcGuire

Good afternoon Little Ones! It's that time of the day again where I sit in front of my computer, and write to my hearts content. In recent events, more specifically Thursday 1st February ... I headed into my local tattoo parlour and proceeded to implant my first tattoo on my body. If you want to read about: why I got it, where I gathered the inspiration from, how I felt before and after, and what I think currently; have a scroll!
To ensure you are keeping up to date with previous blog posts, click here! Without any further or do, let's roll on my first tattoo!

WHY THIS TATTOO:

Fundamentally, I've never been the person to actually go through with a tattoo, I love the idea and passion behind the creations, but over a year ago I came to terms with an idea, which has come to life, in the formation of two dots; which will forever be embedded into my skin.
November 2016 marks the event where I slit my wrist, the healing process was just as demoralising and agonising; I soon realised that the scar had decided to morph into a faint smile ... I thought nothing of it, until one of my university classmates pointed out that it looked like half a smiley face, she continued to draw two dots above to complete her vision; ever since then, I made it my mission to emulate her idea and turn it into a tattoo.
Every single morning I woke up, I was constantly face with my gruesome scar on my wrist, automatically the physical and mental pain smacked me in the face, in order to diminish the torment, I finally decided to take action and make my dream a reality.
Thursday 1st February, marked the day where I entered my local tattoo parlour and made this vision possible.
This tattoo portrays strength, and switches which was once a traumatic nightmare, into a lighthearted illustration, it's utterly unique-one of a kind in fact, this will NEVER be replicated; which makes me feel utterly proud.
As tiny as this tattoo is, the meaning behind it engulfs size altogether.

FEELING BEFORE THE TATTOO:

Luckily enough for me, this wasn't a sporadic idea, I had pondered upon this creation for over a year. A week before it was time to embed this illustration for a lifetime, I made an appointment with my tattoo artist, I wanted them to acknowledge the significance behind the tattoo; and ease my anxiety. They were extremely supportive, and thought it embarked pure emotion, relevance, and originality. I admired their opinion, and couldn't wait until my creation came to life.
Moments before my tattoo, I was anxiety ridden, I was fearful of the pain, worried that I would flinch and ruin the entire design.

DID IT HURT?

Honestly, everyone obtains several opinions, it's all down to to pain threshold, and luckily enough for me, I can take physical pain like no tomorrow-in terms of mental, that's where I begin to break down.
In order to aid my anxiety, my tattoo artist slowly placed the gun onto the surface of my skin, she emulated gentle circular motions, in which I completed relaxed, simply because it didn't hurt at all.
Evidently, you can feel it, and it's more annoying than anything, but in terms of pain, I've had injections which are much worse.
But, if you are considering a tattoo, my advice would be, to make an appointment, and discuss your fear, they are there to turn your wild creations to life; use them to your advantage.
When the day arrives for you to get your tattoo, and you are still fear-ridden, they won't rush you into anything, and they can even apply numbing location.
Like I've mentioned previously, everyone is different, do want you think is best for you.

CURRENT THOUGHTS:

Regret ... That I didn't do this sooner!
As soon as I saw this settle permanently onto my skin, I fell in love ... Anxiety had disappeared, and I couldn't be anymore proud. Amy McGuire, the innocent, timid pristine woman, had managed to swipe away stereotypes ... I had a tattoo, and I haven't felt cooler; a phrase I never thought I would describe myself.
The secondary phrase, "once you get one tattoo, don't they become increasingly addictive?" Yes they do, I've already thought about several other tattoos I wish to add to my small collection. One important factor will stay submerged, any future tattoo I consider getting, has to be designed by me, it adds a personal and original touch ... Differentiates me from sheep.

Right now Little Ones, this is the end of this blog post, say hello to my first tattoo, I wonder if I should name it? Any suggestions?
Cheers to this, and hopefully many more to come, I will inform you on future designs, and maybe even film my next tattoo; if the opportunity ever arises.
I hope you enjoyed this interesting read, I will see you again tomorrow with vagina advice! Have a wonderful evening, remember to stay safe and stay tuned Little Ones! :) x x x

PRODUCT REVIEW | NEVER A DULL MOMENT FACE POLISHER

ORIGINS NEVER A DULL MOMENT SCRUB REVIEW:

Snapchat: amymrmcguire
Email: missamymcguire@hotmail.com
YOUTUBE: MissRoseMcGuire

Good evening Little Ones! It's time for a product review, it's been a minute but I'm back in the game! I'm in the middle of trying out several new products, but I want to ensure that I give them all a fair review; so they will eventually be released sporadically.
As you can tell by the title, I have a beloved Origins product! If you want to know my detailed opinion on this wonder, keep on reading!
To ensure you are keeping up to date with my daily blog posts, click here to read more! Without any further or do, let's roll on the review!

THE PRODUCT:

As we are all aware of by now, Origins produce and market exceptional products, before this face polish, I'd only dived into their mask and moisturiser pool. I originally needed something to combat the misbehaving dry patches swallowing my skin, I didn't use those exact words; as the consultant may have looked at me funny, but you get the gist.
She showed me several products and tested them out, but they weren't doing much ... Until she pointed out their staple holy grail product; which just so happened to be never a dull moment face polish.
Automatically I fell in love with the vibrant orange package, it reminded me of a jumper my mother owned, she placed the product on my hand, the texture was peculiar, it held it's shape which I enjoyed-it meant that it was rich in texture, so heavy duty! If this didn't murder my dry patches, nothing would.
A few weeks down the line and it's my number one facial scrub, if you have stubborn dry patches, this is the product for you, it's fantastic when I feel that my skin is going to be a pain, I use this before I apply my make-up, nothing irritates me more than dry skin clinging onto foundation.
In relation to smell, it's enchanting ... Fresh fruit, and not the tacky fake aroma either, when you pop open the cap, it's like cutting open several ripe mango's; I adore rubbing this into my skin, even wakes me up in the early morning.
Just to briefly mention, a lot goes a long way, as portrayed in the image above, that tiny blob managed to cover the entirety of my face ... Have you seen the size of my forehead? Enough said.

THE PACKAGING:

I know, you normally see this segment first, but I'm switching it up on the blog! Anyhow, back to the packaging! Can we just take a moment to appreciate how luxurious and vibrant this product radiates. Simplistic is the key in my book, if you over complicate the packaging, my assumption is that the product quality isn't there; whereas Origins remain elementary, yet elegant ... It's screams Origins, without rubbing it in their audiences face.
The contrast between the mango and white is fantastic, it enhances the rich colour of the natural papaya and mango, delves deep into their company ethics, and raw ingredients, hence the iconic oak tree as their staple logo.
Something else to mention, the squeeze component is great for dispersing an even amount of product, and because of the formula is doesn't stick or get clogged around the edges, which I love!
I hate it when you fall in love with a mask, or scrub, and after a few applications, it looks like a murder scene.

THE PRICE:

This baby retails for, £26.50, it's up there in price, but I've spent more than triple to finally obtain the perfect product. I've been using this face polish for over a month now, and I've barely made a dent ... And I use it at LEAST 3 times a week, as portrayed in the pictures above, that tiny blob on my hand covered the entirety of my face.
If you have extremely dry and sensitive skin like me, this will become your new best friend ... You can inform your former best friend that they've been replaced, they will understand why.
I honestly haven't found a dupe for this product as of yet, but I've been on the hunt as I know not everyone can afford the high price point; but I will dry my best!
On the other hand, it's really worth the splurge, it really does work, your skin feels like velvet! If you are hesitant, head into your nearest Origins counter, and get them to try it out on you, it'll be love at first sight!
If you are interested in purchasing this product, hit the link down below:

That's it for today's blog post, sorry it was late, I've been busy doing some revision for my exam on Wednesday! I'm really looking forward to it ... Strange to say, don't judge!
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed the read, I will see you again tomorrow with another blog post! It'll be a little adventure so stay tuned for that!
I love you all so very much! Stay safe and stay tuned :) x x x

DIOR STAR FOUNDATION REVIEW

DIOR STAR FOUNDATION REVIEW

If you want to keep up to date with that I do on a daily basis follow me on my social media above, and I'll be sure to follow you right back :).

Good evening Little Ones! How has your day been so far? I thought that I would give you another product review, since that's what you wanted! BUT, I want to get into more baking, so when I'm 100% better you can expect to see more recipes! I have filmed a video on this product, so if you want to check that out, then click here!
If that's not your cup of tea feel free to stay where you are, carry on reading! So, without further or do, let's crack on with the review.

THE PACKAGING:

Well hello Dior! This is the only foundation, and beauty product that I own by Dior ... First impressions, I'm wowed! Exceedingly elegant, yet simple ... I adore the flash of monochrome metal and black contrast; it dazzles just like a star, how fitting?
Dior have remained consistent throughout this entire product, tying in micro detailing, for instance, the initials of Christian Dior placed elegantly on the lid cap; it makes it feel personal, embellished and worth your cash. It's almost like you have an autograph by Christian Dior.
What else can be said? That's right, I do love a glass bottle, especially when I've paid a large sum of money, my other favourite feature on foundation would have to be, the trusty pump. Thank you Dior for including a pump! I loath nothing more than having to pray that foundation doesn't spill over my hand; due to NO pump. But as you can tell by the lovely photographs, there is a pump.
Overall, this is a beautiful looking product, defiantly something to place on the mantelpiece.

THE PRODUCT:

Now onto my favourite segment! Does this product work? Well if you have oily skin, this product is going to melt into the skin; (in a good way) ... But if you suffer with dry skin, like myself, it's difficult to work with. BUT, if you prep the skin correctly, this is the PERFECT foundation. Before you apply this foundation, PLEASE exfoliate your skin, I can't emphasis this enough! If you don't, this foundation will cling onto your dry patches, and make you question why you even purchased this in the first place. And for the love of God, please prime and moisturise the skin ... Just please. Doesn't have to be the best; but please! After putting in all the hard work, it DOES pay off, this gives your skin such a glow, it looks so healthy, while giving you medium to full coverage. This product lasts around 6 hours, and then you do have to powder; just like other foundations.
Fundamentally, when I purchased this foundation I didn't get along with it, and I didn't see the point in prepping my skin ... But, it's such a beautiful foundation, it turned into my favourite, until I discovered my beloved YSL All Hours. But this is a close second, even replaced my Nars Sheer Glow, and we all know how much I loved that foundation.
Just to mention, the shade range is fantastic, I purchased the shade, Ivory 010-which is the lightest shade they had available. It suited me, it was slightly too dark, but when I apply concealer on top, you can't notice. I am extremely pale, so finding a foundation that suits my skin-tone is a challenge.

THE PRICE:

Yes it's Dior, it's going to be expensive ... But I love the product, and it's completely worth, £35. This is slightly more than my YSL foundation, which retails for, £33.50. Yes it's pricey, but if you weigh up all the benefits, you can really get your money out of this product. It took me a while to fall in love with this product; but it was completely worth it.

If you are curious to purchase this product, I'll leave a link below for you!

That is it for today's blog post, I hope you enjoyed the read, and please do tell me what you want to see next! I love you all so very much, stay safe and stay tuned Little Ones! :) x x x
