Kerastase Discipline Shampoo Review

Kerastase Discipline Shampoo Review

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by Kerastase, I purchased this product with my own money. I needed to find a new shampoo for curly thick hair, and this worked it's magic.

Hello and welcome to another review! I've discovered a new love and of course I wanted to share it with you lovely people! What are your plans? I've just finished watching stranger things season one! Oh my gosh I'm obsessed, if you haven't seen it, watch it! Season two is coming out in October, I can't wait! Anyhow, if you adore hair products, (and your hair is way out of control), you will love this!

THE PACKAGING:

As you all know by now, I'm a packaging addict! If it looks pretty I'm suckered into buying it ... I know it's a bad trait, but I can't help it. Come on though, it's rose gold! Where have you ever seen rose gold shampoo packing? I can guarantee you've never seen it! If you have you'll understand why I'm obsessed. Anyhow, I find the matte bottle and shiny rim around the lid so elegant and eye-catching. It beats the typical colour scheme of: blue, white and red. Kerastase is highly innovative, and their packaging reflects how well their products perform, believe me I've been using their merchandise for a number of years; and I've always been impressed with the quality of the design and the performance. In addition to this, I love how they've maintained the same font, simply because you can differentiate their brand from all the others, as well as keeping their sophisticated image. They are consistent throughout, which makes not only me, but their loyal customers devoted to the brand; too big of a change and it can make people run in the other direction. On the other hand, Kerastase colour co-ordinate hair type, for example rose gold is for curly thick hair, whereas dry hair is an emerald green. It helps customers remember what colour to go for, instead of reading the small print and getting confused and impatient. I think that's enough about packaging don't you think? Let's move onto the performance!

THE PRODUCT:

Here to the main event! Does it actually work? From all the positive connotations, yes it does work, but I don't know if it'll work for all hair types. From my perspective I have exceedingly thick hair, to the point where I have to get my fiance to brush the back; it actually hurts my arms. For a while I was using Kerastase damage shampoo, and I enjoyed it, but the formula was too dense and didn't distribute as well as I's hoped. So I went back to the drawing board and tried something new, which is why this review is being written. Let me just say, Kerastase really nailed it on the head with this unruly hair shampoo! It's creamy in consistency, and the lava level is out of this world! It's reaches to the scalp and the ends of your hair, it feels squeaky clean and smells beautiful! Although when I saw the bottle I was sceptical, simply because it wasn't very big in comparison to my other shampoo package. But a little really does go a long way, which is fantastic. I've owned this product for just over two months, and I haven't even gone through half; I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, so I'm not going easy on the product either. I believe that by the end of October it'll disappear, and yes I'll be repurchasing the same shampoo, it works well for me, so why not.

THE PRICE:

Now the dreaded price, something that people hate. Is it a lot of money? You can make the decision based on: how much you need the product, and how care-free you are with your money. You earn it, purchase whatever you fancy. I purchased this from my local hairdressers Stonehills, and retailed for £18.60; which is the same price online. Now some people may say, wow that's a bit excessive, in my opinion, no. I was searching for the perfect shampoo that could really clean out my hair, and reduce frizz, this product does that 100%; it makes it easier to brush when soaking wet and damp, (which Chris loves). In addition to this, as mentioned previously, it's lasted me over 2 months, and I haven't even used up half of the product. If this is too much for you there are plenty of drugstore shampoo's out there, Aussie is a great alternative; but I do prefer my Kerastase to be perfectly honest.
If this product is grabbing your attention and you wish to purchase it, click the link below and have a little wonder.

Anyhow, this is now the end of my blog post! I have something else coming out tomorrow! It'll be in the advice category, and I'm also planning on making a YouTube video as well; so keep tuned for that! I hope you have a wonderful day, I will see you Little Ones tomorrow! I love you all so very much! x x x

Product review-OGX Shampoo and conditioner

OGX thick&full biotin&collagen shampoo and conditioner

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by OGX, I discovered them a few months back when I was in boots, they had a new range of shampoo and conditioner ... And just like everything else in Boots, I had to buy it. I just fell it love with it, and so did my boyfriend Christoper.

Good evening Little ones! It's lovely to get to see you all again, how have you been? I know it's only been a day, but a lot can change and happen within 24 hours. I'm currently at home with my family, laying in bed as I'm absolutely freezing; also waiting for my other half to come over and snuggle me. Any how, if you are on the hunt for new hair care products, or just enjoy reviews in general; then you will love this :)

PACKAGING:

Astronomically stunning. The colour is mixed between a royal blue and purple, it's so unique; but that's what's so striking about it. It also makes me feel extremely luxurious, which is heightened with the melted gold crown, and curly font. In regards to the typography, it's: bold, iridescent and damn right sexy! It interlinks with the lid, and you guys already know how I feel about that ... I absolutely love it; it really does show that the company cares about how their products are represented. On the other hand, the shape of the bottle is something that I have never seen before, other bottles are much thinner, or taller; this is short and plump ... Which I actually like, simply because it's easier to hold, and believe it or not, it actually holds more product in there. For example average shampoo and conditioner bottle holds 300ml, whereas OGX holds 385ml. Which is perfect, because you get more product for your money. If I had to really critique this, I would have to say that there is too much writing, they should add an illustration in the centre and have the main words as the focus point. But that being said, OGX's signature look is just the writing, which as mentioned previously looks beautiful in contrast to the plain background.

THE PRODUCT:

Fundamentally, in regards to the shampoo the consistency is BEAUTIFUL. It feels like velvet in your hair, so rich and creamy, and lava's so well when you add water. It really feels like it's taking away all the dirt and grease; and replacing it with a a clean, sweet smelling hair. In regards to the smell it's ever so sweet yet daring; it reminds me of Dove body cream, it's so luxurious yet questionably seductive, simply because there's a slight hint of musk. On the other hand, the conditioner has the same effect, but the consistency is different, evidently because instead of cleaning the hair, it nourishes it. It's so thick, which I adore because you know it's going to make your hair look amazing afterwards. I prefer thicker conditioners to watery one, as I find that the finer based ones don't do a good job, they just make your hair greasy; whereas this one actually looks after you hair. It glides in so effortlessly, and takes seconds to wash out. Again which I love! Who wants to stand in a shower for ages trying to get the remainders of conditioner out? Not me! I don't have time for that!
When you come out of the shower, and  your hair is towel dry, I kid you not you can brush your hair ... Like brush your hair and not pull half of it out because it's wet. And when it's dry it looks even better! The volume is fantastic! Because I have such thick hair it's hard to find something that adds volume to it! This baby does it perfectly. I love this product, it's one of my favourites :).

THE PRICE:

Let's just get into it! £6.99 for each, yes that would mean you would be spending £13.98 on shampoo and conditioner. but let's face it, most higher end shampoo and conditioner is the same price and even higher! I really take a lot of care into my hair; I would rather spend more on my hair KNOWING that it was getting looked after. I know that's just my opinion, and some will and won't agree with me; but it's how I feel. You can buy these from anywhere, but I would say Boots as they always have offers on them. For example RIGHT NOW! They retail for £4.66 instead of £6.99, so if you find the first price too much then I would say go and buy them right now, go on Little ones, treat yourself :).

This is now the end of the blog post, sorry Litte ones, but you will see me tomorrow with a vegan recipe! I haven't done one of those for a while. I will then be doing a day in the life of Amy soon, that's only if you are interested :).
I hope you all have a good night sleep! I love you all so very much, sweet dreams! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Product Review-Lee Stafford hair care

Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Coconut Spritz

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by Lee Stafford, I came across their products a few years ago when I started dying my hair. When I saw that they came out with a new range, I went into my pocket and bought the range. I've fallen in love with it and decided to review it.

Good Afternoon! I am ever so sorry that this has taken a VERY long time to post, around a week or so now! I had been back from France not even a day and I was seriously ill. I'm still in the recovery process; but I'm now able to obtain the strength to write! If you want to know what I was suffering with please let me know and I will give you an insight on that in more detail :). Any how, how have you guys been? Summer been good? :).
As you may know I LOVE reviewing great products! And I have been dying to review this hair product for a matter of days now! But here it is! If you want to know detailed information about this product and if it's for you, then have a little read down below :).

If you want to read another review, click here!

MY HAIR TYPE:

Profoundly, my hair type is smack bang in the middle! Not too thick, not too thin, but this really does depend. For example, if I was to cut my hair really short my hair would be immensely thick, but my hair being rather long it thins out ever so slightly; which I love, especially in the summer as my hair doesn't drown me too much. On the other hand, my hair is quite dry on some days, and with the British Summer being intense it's done some damage to my hair; and traveling to France didn't help either. In terms of my hair appearing greasy it's pretty much non-existent, this week was the test as I wasn't well enough to wash my hair ... I went 5 or more days without washing it, and it still appeared dry, my mum said, "have you just washed your hair, it looks clean?". I was utterly shocked and honored in a strange way, that I could not wash my hair and it still looks good :').

PACKAGING:

Stunning! The champagne rose gold bottle is enchanting, it appears refreshing and reminds me of an innocent rose. When you look at the fine details, the name 'Lee Stafford' and the dog logo was rose gold; this interlinked with the pink bottle and showed me that Lee Stafford cares about what his packing looks like, he wants it to be consistent. In a consumers perspective it gives me a good first impression, if something looks good I have the expectation that the product inside is going to be just as good; which in this case was a massive YES!
On the other hand, I love that the bold text is in the significant hot pink colour; this is what Lee Stafford always uses on his other hair products. This is the only time that Lee Stafford has updated his packing, and that was for the CoCo LoCo edition, in my opinion I really like the change, I feel like he should do this for new ranges. For example, if he bought out a new range for just thick hair, he should have a separate colour for that, it easier to catagorise, especially if he did it for all hair types.

THE PRODUCT:

In regards to this product, it's fantastic and let me tell you why. Like some spray in hair conditioners they weigh your hair down, and make it appear greasy. Whereas this one is light, and no matter how much you spray on there it doesn't look greasy. It also smells extremely refreshing, it feels like I'm smelling a real coconut. I hate it when I buy a hair product and it smells fake, or the scent is too overpowering; whereas the CoCo LoCo has a slight smell of real coconut, which is nice when you are spraying it on your hair, simply because it's not intense.
On the other hand, after you have applied this to the hair and brushed it in, it leaves your hair silky smooth and reduces the chance of getting split ends. This is because pure coconut oils have been placed in this bottle, not only is it natural but it gives the best results. It also strengthens your hair, I have noticed this over the past month using this product.

THE PRICE:

Fundamentally, this hair product retails for £5.99! This is fantastic! I was utterly shocked, simply because I've never seen anything so low priced in the Lee Stafford collection. And after seeing the results this gave me I stocked up on another one of these and gave it to my boyfriend ... He's obsessed with it! He loves the smell, as well as his hair being damage free. For £5.99 you get 150ml, I have been using mine for a month, and I apply it to my hair at least 4 times a week! And I haven't even gone through half the bottle yet; completely worth the money in my opinion!

This is the end of my blog post! I'm ever so sorry that this took a while to post! Everyone does get ill from time to time, and this time it knocked me down for well over a week!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post though! You will be seeing me again today or tomorrow! A little adventure and advice blog post will be up, as well as a VEGAN RECIPE!
Enjoy the rest of your day, I love you all so much! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

What toiletry essentials do I need on holiday?

DISCLAIMER: I have not been paid by any of of the companies below, this is just want I wanted to buy for my holiday, as I thought this was best for me.

Have you seen my giveaway? If not click here!

Good afternoon! How has your day been so far? I know that I have been chilling with Chris, we have watched a few films and just enjoyed each others company :).

He's having a little nap while I've decided to write this little blog post; it was something that I was preparing on writing soon; as I indeed heading to France in 2-3 weeks! I'm very excited and I can't wait to take you guys alone with me :)
As shown in the title, I will be informing you on what toiletry essentials you will need to bring when you are heading on holiday.
If you want to know more details on these products, and why you will need them have a little read down below :).

If you want to see how to plan a holiday click here!

 Deodorant:

Deodorant is an absolute must have! Grab whatever one you want, I chose the Nivea pearl&beauty. This scent is so refreshing and beautiful; it's like spraying faint perfume on your body. This deodorant actually compliments my Mac Turquatic perfume really well; as it's not overpowering; it doesn't take over my perfume scent. If you like sweet and refreshing scents then you will love this deodorant.
On the other hand, whatever deodorant you purchase you will need it for holiday, especially if you are heading to a hot country! You are going to be sweating profusely; if you are anything like me, (I sweat so much! Like literally water coming out of my armpits!); you will NEED deodorant. If you feel like you are getting too moist or uncomfortable because of the weather spray this all over your body. Not only will you smell great, but it's probably the best feeling.

 Lip balm:

I thought that lip balm was a must have! I use lip balms daily even if I'm not going on holiday; just because if I don't they get chapped and dry; and I don't want that! Especially if you are kissing your partner ;). I have used a multitude of lip balms, EOS, Chanel, Burts Bees etc. But I thought that I would pick up the Nivea Sun Protect lip balm, I am a massive fan of Nivea and their products are just as good, if not better than high end. I used this lip balm last year, and the scent is fresh; it reminds me of sun cream- in which I adore! The smell of sun cream is probably one of mu favourites; is that just me? :').
I am heading to France, and it tends to hit the 30 degree mark if not more, so instead of using a normal lip balm;  I wanted something with SPF in, so that my lips won't burn. I would advice that if you are going somewhere hot; that you need to buy a lip balm with SPF in.

Toothpaste:

Evidently you need toothpaste, you should brush your teeth twice a day, obviously this is an extreme essential. Oral hygiene is extremely important, you don't want the issues I had in the past with dentists. If you want to read about that experience click here! When you are on holiday you want to make sure you smell nice in ALL departments, you never know you might meet someone there ;). In my situation I'm going to be with my boyfriend, and I'm pretty sure he won't want to kiss me if I had bad breath :'). In terms of my toothpaste I've decided to go with the, Sensodyne Gentle Whiting toothpaste. My teeth are extremely sensitive, I have used the brand Sensodyne for years! Just because I had so many issues with my teeth; my dentist actually recommend this brand to me, and I've never used anything else since. In terms of this toothpaste, I have used this for 3 months. They do whiten your teeth slowly and slightly it's obviously not going to look like you've just had your teeth whitened; but they give them a fresh look; while looking after your teeth, and not making them feel sensitive; simply because I know that some whitening toothpastes can cause sensitivity.

 Tooth brush holder:

Fundamentally, in my perspective this is an essential, I'm the sort of person that cringes once I've used my tooth brush, and then puts it back in the holiday bag. No matter how much I have washed it, and dried it; it still makes me cringe. I like the fact that I can use this tooth brush holder; as it segregates all the other products, I don't have to worry about anything else touching my toothbrush. On the other hand, it's clear, so you can see that your toothbrush is in there. They are really cheap to buy, I bought this from Savers for 29p ... Yes 29p! They really aren't expensive! You can reuse them time and time again. If you are travelling a lot, then I would suggest that you get your hands on one of these, even if you go camping it's perfect! It keep it clean and tidy.

 Sun cream:

This is number one! You should always carry this around with you! Even if you aren't  on holiday, it's so important that you have sun cream on you! This is what protects our skin! This prevents skin cancer from occurring; I can't stress enough how important this is! I have never been abroad before, but what I do know is that it's going to be hotter than the UK. The temperatures sometimes go to 40 degrees where I'm going. I need to make sure that I am getting maximum coverage when I go out on the beach; becuase that's where I'm going to be spending the most time on holiday.  When I was in boots all the Nivea sun cream was on offer, the 30 SPF and 50 were the same price; so evidently I went for the 50, as you get more protection out of it, for the same price. As mentioned previously I have been a fan of Nivea for years! I love there sun cream as it's not greasy, it applies well and I have never burnt while using it! Also the spay pump is perfect! It doesn't overload your skin with product, so you don't have to rub your skin religiously.

Facial wipes:

Profoundly, when traveling around all day you want to head to bed with a fresh face, or start the day feeling clean. Facial wipes are the next best thing! They are super handy and convenient, if you can't bring your toner and other facial cleansers; find the best facial wipes suited for you. I picked the YESto Cucumber, I have done a full product review on these, if you want to see that then click here!
I love these facial wipes, just like Nivea I have used this brand for years, I discovered them ages ago and I have never used any other form of facial wipe but these. They are easy to carry and put in your toiletry bag. Because of the cucumber essence it makes me feel awake and refreshed, which is what you want if you are waking up, or it you have had a hard day and you want to feel clean. As well as this, if you are heading to a hot country, the plastic seal on these wipes will make sure that they don't dry out; that was my biggest annoyance, is when I would buy facial wipes before YESto, and they would dry out because the sticky label wasn't intact anymore.

Hand sanitiser:

I take this everywhere I go! Especially if I am going to London! The amount of bacteria on the London underground makes me sick! It's so important to stay clean, you don't want to make yourself ill because you hands aren't clean. You can buy any hand sanitisers, they all do the same job; but I find the cheaper hand sanitisers irritate my hands. So I decided to buy Carex moisture plus and sensitive. Simply because I will use the sensitive throughout the day and eventually it will dry my skin out; so when that happens I like to apply the moisture plus one; as it hydrates my skin as well as cleaning it. I have used this combination for at least a year, and I will stick to it, unless Carex bring another range out. In terms of where I'm going on Holiday, I'm heading to a farm, I need to make sure that my hands are clean and tidy for when I prepare food, and when I feed the animals; as I don't want to make myself sick, as well as the animals.

Shower gel:

Shower gel is one of the most important toiletry, simply because this is what cleans you after you have had a busy day, or relaxing day in the hot sun. Despite what you have been doing you always need to cleanse your body; you need to get rid of all the sweat you have produced throughout the day. If not, then you will start to smell, not only will it irritate you, but it will make others around you uncomfortable, as they have to sit there ad smell unpleasant body odor. I will shower at least once a day, twice if I need to wash my hair in the evening, or three times depending o how the weather is. In regards to the shower gel I am using, its the body shop Fuji Green Tea, this is my favourite shower gel I have purchased yet! The reason why I bought this, was because The Body Shop discontinued the Virgin Mojito range, I was so disappointed but this shower gel smells so similar! When I discovered this I went to down on the Green Tea range! It's such a relaxing and refreshing scent, the only way to describe this would be your best holiday memory combined into a bottle. You will know what I mean when you smell it.

Thank you ever so much for reading this blog post! It's completely different to what I would normally do, but I really enjoyed it! I am planning on going a 'what to pack in your suitcase' blog post. If you are interested in that then please let me know in the comments below, or on my social media.
I love you all so very much, and I will see you later on today with a candle review.
Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x
