Good evening Little ones! How have you been the past few days? I've been diving into my Marketing course and I've been loving it. That being said, I've had to be extremely organised, which isn't an issue for myself, simply because I suffer with OCD, which means that everything has it's own place. But it's not just about that, it's finding the time between your studies and your personal life. Take this blog post as a help guide for starting University :).
If  you want tips and tricks on how to shuffle time around give this a little read.

Hit the ground running on day one:

  • You will hear this constantly, even if you aren't at University, but if you want to be successful in your studies, or anywhere for that matter you NEED to start from day one. I have always done that, when I was at School, starting new jobs, and now that I'm at University I will be doing the same ... And I have been! For example, I was set my first assignment and it's due in for the 4th November ... I've already done most of my research, referenced and planned my essay. All I have to do now, is a bit more research, referencing and actually write my essay; which is what I aim to do this week. That may sound a bit excessive for some of you, but in order to stay in the game you have to put the work in; even if it means doing assignments weeks before they are due in.
  • In addition to this, do extra reading around your course, it doesn't hurt to know more information; if anything it will make life easier for you in the long-run. You will not be judged for being "the smart one". If anything you will be respected, simply because you know what you are talking about, believe it or not you are looked down on if you don't know what to do. Simply because you are at University now, you should know what to do, as you've chosen to do a degree on it.
  • Get on your teachers good side. Yes you may think, 'kissing their butt', but if you scratch their back they will scratch yours. In other words, if you are late to lectures, they won't mind. If you have good reasons, and if they know you personally they'll let it slide. Whereas if you don't treat them with respect, then why should they? If you don't do your work, turn up late all the time, and interrupt the learning of others; then they will simply kick you out; as you are a waist of their time.

Be organised:

I can't stress enough how organised you have to be, especially at University. It's not Sixth form or college, they aren't as lenient. If you miss a deadline that is it, no excuses will work! My teachers have told me and they have given me real life examples, so please stay organised Little ones. Some ways in which you can do this is by:
  • Get a weekly planner, I have one by knock knock which is amazing! It enables me to plan out my week, so I don't miss any deadlines, and I know what I can and can't do throughout the week. This is fantastic for University, it lets you organised your personal and work life without it clashing together and getting too much.
  • Do your work as soon as you get it! This is what I have always done and I have never looked back. It may sound annoying at first, but at least it is over and done with and you don't have to worry about it at all. This gives you more time to do research, have a social life, or have time for your hobbies, mine being my blog :).
  • Get in a group with you friends, organise a study session. This way you can be with the people you love, as well as doing the work. Some times tasks can seem daunting, take that stress away and be with your friends. That way you are still staying on top with your University work and you are with your friends at the same time.
Little ones this is now the end of the blog post, but don't fear I will be back tomorrow with a product review! I think you will really enjoy that one :).
I hope you have had a lovely day today, I know that I have, I really enjoyed work, and I'm now back at my studio apartment with Chris :), can't wait to snuggle up to him tonight.
Any who, sleep tight! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Hello! How are you guys? I'm finally settled in my new place at University, I have a beautiful window view- I can finally people watch and have no one judge me ;).
I'm currently dying my friends hair, it looks interesting non the less, let's see how that plays out :'). Any-who! I am here, and I have a Body Shop haul for you. I picked up a few bits and pieces from The Body Shop, this was before Uni, and now that I am here I thought I would show you :).
If you love The Body Shop, or you like these types of blog posts, then keep on reading :).

WHAT A BOUGHT:

  • British Rose Body Scrub;
  • British Rose Shower Gel;
  • Strawberry Shower Gel;
  • Argon Oil Shower Gel;
  • Coconut Cream Shower Gel;
  • Grapefruit Shower Gel

MINI REVIEW:

BRITISH ROSE COLLECTION:
I had already previously purchased the British Rose collection, I love roses, they are my favourite flower,plus my middle name is rose, so pluses right? Any how, it smells absolutely beautiful! The formula of the shower gel is stunning, it's extremely creamy and nourishing for the skin. The Body Shop use pure rose extract, this is super beneficial for your skin and health, for example it detoxes the skin; it releases all the unhealthy oils beneath and clears your pours, if you suffer with back acne this is the shower gel for you.
In regards to the body scrub it was my first time trying it from this collection, the tiny beads held within this product is amazing! It's not too rough, so you can actually scrub this as hard as you can; and it won't cause bleeding, (this has happened to me with some scrubs). The smell is the same as the shower gel, which goes to show that they can't fake the product, what I mean by this is that some companies try and mimic the smell of particular objects and they fail because it's fake. The Body Shop use 100% natural ingredients, which is why all their products smell like the real deal.

COCONUT CREAM:

Fundamentally, this is the only shower gel that has a different texture to the others, for example the other shower gels are really creamy and thick, whereas this one is double that! Because it's a shower cream it's extra creamy; which means more nourishment! So if you have dry skin like me, and so happens to love the smell of coconut; then this is the product for you! Even if you don't have dry skin but loves coconut then give this a whirl; it smells delicious.

BODY SHOP SHOWER GEL OVERVIEW:

Fundamentally, all the shower gels that I have purchased above is amazing! Since I discovered The Body Shop years ago, I have never bought any other shower gel but these. First and foremost they don't test against animals, second of all, they are the best smelling shower gels EVER! They smell like the real thing! I would highly recommend these products, I have always used them. I have sensitive and very dry skin and they don't dry them out, if they did I would not waste my money on them! On the other hand, they look stunning, their packaging in perfection. They really let the colour shine through; as well as this, they are consistent throughout. For example, they have the significant black stripe running through the middle; this makes the flavour of the shower gel evident; and it also makes it look classy.

This is the end of the blog post, if you like this type of post then let me know and I will do more! Now that I am at University I will put more time into blogging! I love you all so much! An update on my life will be given to you shortly! But tomorrow is my mothers Birthday, I might even show you how it goes; it really does depend on how she feels about it :).
I love you all so very much, see you tomorrow! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Student Finance

Good evening my lovely people! I was meant to post a vegan recipe today but I had so much to do I didn't have the time; but I will make sure that it's up and ready for tomorrow afternoon :).
I thought that it would be necessary to give you some advice on how to apply for student fiance, and how to spend your money wisely; as well as telling you my personal experiences with it.
If you feel like this would help you or somebody else out there give this a little read, or share it; simply because everyone needs someone to calm them down and give them some great advice in the student finance world :).
Sit back, relax and take a deep breath, I'm here to help:).

PLAN LIKE CRAZY:

Before you start University you need to plan what you need to buy, as well as what you already have. By doing this you can save money when needed, for example, if you already have spare cutlery at home use that, instead of diving into your University funds. Little things like this will go a long way.
  • Make a list of items that you need and don't need:
    When making this list split into different categories, I did this by room, For example, if you start with bedroom, you can decide what you will need in the bedroom, write your list for this and then move onto a different room; do this until you have completed all the rooms. This way you can't get anything mixed up, plus you can't miss anything out if you do it that way.
  • Prioritize selected items:
    If your list is exceptionally long, which is what mine locked like. Select certain items which you feel you need ASAP. This way it's easier to manage, and takes so much stress of your mind. All the mandatory items have been brought on my list! This has made me feel so much better about myself; it's really reduced my anxiety. Now all I need to do is complete the rest of the list; which will happen on pay day this month.
  • Dedicate a day for applying for student finance:
    Profoundly, I feel like it's easier if you take a whole day out of your week just to apply for student finance. Simply because you are able to gather all the valid information that you need, and you can do it all in one go. Once it's done you can forget about it until you start University.

APPLYING FOR FINANCE:

Fundamentally, when applying for Finance you need to be calm and prepared for the amount of time that it will take. From experience it was a terrible time, I let my anxiety get the better of me, I would cry with anger, or worry for no reason. I couldn't find the paperwork for my parents finances, it was all falling apart for me. Evidently I managed to get all the paper work sorted, and it started to flow from there. If you enjoy paper work and filling out forms, then you will love the student finance application. I would say that the entire process takes around 4-5 hours, depending on how much information you need.
A few tips and tricks I would advice for you would be:
  • Write down all your passwords and reference number.It will make the process longer, but it will save you time in the long run. Imagine if you forget your password or reference number, it will be a long and frustrating time for you, simply because you need your student finance ASAP. This will make it so much easier for you. This being said, make sure that you keep them in a safe place, and also a place where you would remember. There is no point writing all this information down, for you not being able to find it.
  • Have someone there with experience:
    Luckily enough I had my boyfriend keeping me calm and making sure that everything was correct. He had already been though the process the year before, which made it a walk in the park for me; especially with my nerves.
    I can't explain how helpful this was, if you can grab somebody who will hold your hand throughout this stressful experience then please do; it will make it so much easier.
  • Take your time:
    I know how cliche and condescending this may sound, but it's probably one of the best points. Please take your time, don't rush, you need to make sure that every single detail is correct; if not then you will not receive your student finance. Do you really want that happening to you? I don't think so my lovely; as annoying as it sounds please listen. It's not a race, you can do this at your own pace.

THE PROCESS:

  1. Go to the Gov website https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-register-login;
  2. use the reference number provided, they would have given you this when you applied for university on UCAS;
  3. set up passwords and security questions, write these down as you go along;
  4. fill in your personal details;
  5. give them the debit card information, this is where your student finance will appear;
  6.  create your parents accounts, as they have to support your student finance account, (in order for you to get more money);
  7. finish your application and fill in your declaration form and send it off in the post;
  8. wait a few days until student finance give you your final money amount, keep hold of this documentation as you will need it when you register at your chosen university.
This is the end of the blog post! I really hope that you found this helpful! When I was going through student finance it was rare that I came across a blog post in this much detail. I wanted to write this so that I could help people, as I know that some individuals still haven't applied, or some people that are heading to university next year; this will be a great stepping stone.
You don't have to follow everything I have written, but even if it's a point or two, it will really help you in the long run.
I love you all so very much, I am going to be writing another blog post on how to prepare for uni, it's going to be a tiny series. If that's what you want of course! If you have any other ideas then please suggest them :).
I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening, I will be posting my vegan recipe tomorrow :). I'll be heading off to bed shortly, I'm rather exhausted.
Sweet dreams Little ones, stay safe and stay tuned :) x x x
