Good afternoon Little Ones, (not really the afternoon, I'm writing this the day before my 21st birthday, in the hope I post it before I run out the door, no promises though, eventually this will make it to you).
Some of you may be aware that I work for Hush ... And if not, you know now. If you are familiar with the brand, a new store has launched in Welwyn Garden City, and luckily enough, I am the brand consultant for that specific store, (very pleased).
You know where this is headed, if you fancy glancing at several montages of photographs of the store go ahead and take a scroll; if not this isn't the post for you.
For my fellow Hush fanatics, enjoy the read and stay tuned for launch updates.

P.S THE PHOTOGRAPHY WASN'T THE BEST QUALITY, DUE TO THE FACT I TOOK THESE IMAGES ON MY MOBILE PHONE.
ADDITIONALLY, NO PRICING WILL BE MENTIONED, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF THE PRODUCTS DOWN BELOW, I WILL BE HONOURED TO PROVIDE A LINK DIRECTLY TO THE WEBSITE.
ALSO, I'M NOT BEING PAID BY HUSH TO WRITE THIS SPECIFIC BLOG POST, I KINDLY ASKED MY BOSSES PERMISSION.

Now that's all out the way, scroll away!

ABOUT HUSH:

Once upon a time, Mandy, (founder of Hush), wondered into her kitchen and took to her laptop, ideas spiralled in her mind, ambition became her best-friend. Her dream of creating her very own chic clothing brand came to life in 2003.
15 year later and the brand remains stronger than ever, now with (number of stores), and 10 more due to launch later this year, Hush is climbing to the top.
If you didn't already know, Hush is a concession store within John Lewis, meaning that Hush is exclusive to only John Lewis, as well as the occasional pop-up shop.
If you don't fancy popping into the store, there is always online; as that's where the story begun.
The most common questions I receive from customers is, "will there ever be an independent Hush store"? It doesn't seem that way, we are comfortable situated within John Lewis, but never say never ... You never know what will happen in years to come.
What else is there to be said? If you are a comfort fanatic, get online, (or in store) and check us out, I promise we don't bite.

ARRIVING IN WELWYN GARDEN CITY:

Knock knock, guess who's arrived in your local John Lewis, Hush has! I've received nothing but uplifting comments, which go along the lines of, "I'm so glad Hush is finally here, such a lovely brand". It was time for a change, instead of staying submerged in London, Hush decided to branch out and achieve bigger and better things.
2018 has been a massive milestone for Hush, already opening 5 brand new stores, being: Welwyn Garden City, Cambridge, Brent Cross, Liverpool and Glasgow. As mentioned previously, Hush isn't going to stop there, by the end of the year, they are going to have at least 10 more store openings ... How exciting!
Why Welwyn Garden City? Some people may assume that Welwyn is already too close to London, therefore does it fall into the London category? Technically no, as travelling 20 minutes can be a pain, why head into London, when there is a perfectly good store right at your doorstep?
Needless to say, the demographic is perfect, yummy mummies everywhere, besides, Welwyn needed something new fresh and uplifting.
If you have no idea where we are in John Lewis, have no fear, we are in the women's department, placed right beside the till, (now that's a hot spot). Don't be afraid to pop by, I would love to see what you think of the brand!

COMING UP:

Spring is finally here, the snow has disintegrated, (thankfully), say goodbye to bulky knits, and hello to, crisp, vivid and invigorating spring styles. What does that entail? Well, I'm not one to spoil surprises, but expect: flowing skirts, enchanting dresses and comfortable classical shirts.
Don't worry if you are itching to find out, this all drops on March 6th ... Yes tomorrow! Why not pay Hush a visit? Watch the collection come to life, you may even find something you fancy.

MY FAVOURITE PIECES:

Since working at Hush, I've managed to be lucky enough to receive clothing for uniform, evidently it's a way of promoting the clothing, but it gives me a better understanding of how the clothing makes me feel, and how I can sell a particular product.
I've also established particular pieces of clothing that I've fallen in love with, three of those items being:

S/S JUMPSUIT | BLUEBERRY:

Jumpsuits ... For a petite woman, you must be out of your mind, (that's what I thought when I was met with this product).
I had no issues with the design elements, the choice of the stunning sapphire blue would compliment most skin tones, besides it goes with pretty much anything you own.
When I wiggled into the jumpsuit, I was pleasantly surprised when I looked in the mirror, it sat in all the right places, enhancing my curves, (which I didn't think was possible). Comfort galore, if I could wear anything for the rest of my life, this would be it!
Ultimately, this is my favourite, and I couldn't recommend it enough. Feeling lazy, or in a rush? Hop into this jumpsuit, and you are on the way to success.
You don't have to worry about matching this and that, it's a fashionable all-in-one.
My favourite features about this wonder, would have to be the deep pockets in the front ... And yes, they are useful! You can actually place your phone in these pockets, and not have to worry about it falling out; just to emphasises, I have an iPhone 7 Plus, and it's snug, it's never fallen out, (touch wood).
But Amy, what makes this different from all the other jumpsuits? Rayon ... This jumpsuit is made from 100% rayon, what is that you may ask?
Let's jump into some science shall we? Rayon was the first man-made fibre, composed of regenerated and purified cellulose derived from plant sources. This is the fundamental replacement for silk, some individuals may not tell the difference.
This is what makes this jumpsuit special, the textures are unbelievably soft, and doesn't agitate any skin allergies you may have. Another benefit with Rayon, it doesn't bobble, or shrink in the wash, which means no worrying about how many times you can throw it in the washing-machine.

CONTRAST  TRIM TROUSERS | MIDNIGHT/JOLLY GREEN

Isn't this jolly? OK, we've established that I'm not entirely funny, but these trousers are super trendy. Just like the jumpsuit, it's something I normally wouldn't go for, as the style element is too flared, but I adore the navy blue, and the bright green.
I find the contrast makes this entire product stand out from other basic trousers, I tried these on when we launched my concession store, and I never looked back. I'm itching to purchase these trousers, but there are talks about receiving them for uniform, (so I'm holding fire).
Don't expect these trousers to show off your assets, as they aren't fitted ... But, you can expect to be drowned in perfect comfort. Every step you take, feels like you are walking on clouds.
Being self-conscious with my body, these trousers hide what I hate, and make me feel confident, I don't have to worry about my legs; you won't be able to see them, the flare causes an illusion.
Just focus on feeling fabulous, I love these trousers, and would at least advice for you to try them on!
Amy, what is the secret to feeling magnificent? Viscose darling ... viscose is a type of rayon (which is what the jumpsuit is made from), it's made from rayon and cellophane, which makes it soft to the touch, as well as, breathable, high absorbent and light. Hence why you feel like you are walking on clouds.

There are other pieces of clothing I adore, but if I had to pick my ultimate ride-or-die, it would be these two items here.
I can't wait to see what the new spring collection brings, I've seen snippets and I can't wait to share it with you lovely people tomorrow! Yes, the launch is tomorrow!
If you are interested in the items you have seen above, I will provide a direct link to the website below, or you can come into store and try them on!
If you do have any questions regarding products, let me know in the comment section down below, social media, or pop into store!

I hope you enjoyed the read! This is now the end of the blog post, I will see you again tomorrow with something slightly different!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day! Remember to stay safe and stay tuned Little Ones! :) x x x

Product Review-Clarins Hydra-Essentiel SPF 15

Good afternoon! How have you all been? I've been incredibly busy, which will all make sense shortly I promise! I can't believe the summer holidays is over! September already! I'm hoping you've enjoyed the sunshine, if not then the rain! Please let me know what you've all been up to, it'll put a smile on my face! Anyhow, you are all here for a review, are you not? If skincare is one of your beloved subjects, then you'll enjoy this read.
P.S, I didn't misspell Essential in the title, it's the way Clarins have spelt it!

If you want to read another review, click here!

THE PACKAGING:

Let's jump in shall we? We all know Clarins as sophisticated yet refreshing, and this product screams those phrases! I'm a massive fan of Clarins skincare, more so than their make-up line, but they nailed this product on the head. I'm sucked in by packaging, first impression are incredibly significant to me, if it looks great I'm going to buy it ... Is that a bad thing? Not always, but you can't just judge a product by looks, it could seem fantastic and then when you use it, FAIL ... But this wasn't the case for me, it's perfect and I will tell you why later on.  Any how, I'm drifting away from the main topic ... When I submerged the moisturiser from the box I was memorised by the calming blue shade, it's so crisp and refreshing, reminds me of the waves and automatically puts me in a content mood ... Clarins already knew this piece of information, thus the reasoning of colour, it's perfect for skincare. When you think of skincare, you think of wanting to be detoxed. On the other hand, the box surrounding the product reminds me of prescription medical creams ... Not something I want to think about when applying my morning moisturiser. It's a little boring, but hey it's just the box, it's something I throw out, otherwise it'll stay in a corner and get lost; plus I don't need the clutter.

THE PRODUCT:

This is the juicy part that everyone has been waiting for! Does it actually work, and is it worth investing in? Yes and yes! But let me give you some facts and reasons why, otherwise what's the point on a review? In my perspective when I started using it a few weeks ago, the cream is cold to the touch-which I personally adore, because it wakens me up in the morning, and it also cools me down and makes me feel clean. Some people may not like this, but I really enjoy it, but everyone is different, (obviously). Secondly, when you rub this into your skin it feels velvety, glides really easily and not greasy! I've tried numerous moisturisers, and when they claim to be "extremely nourishing" they tend to be exceedingly oily; which isn't the look I'm going for unfortunately. On the other hand, after I've applied the product my skin feels silky smooth and I love it! It makes me want to stroke my face for hours on end, although I do make my fiance feel my face afterwards, and he always has the same opinion; "yes your face is really smooth", it's not a computer part so he doesn't care for it. Now what's left to talk about? Oh yes, the continuous usage! As mentioned previously I've been using this product for a few weeks, and a little goes a long way, hence why it looks like I've barely used it in the pictures above! I haven't broken out at all, if anything my skin seems more radiant than ever before, which is outstanding. I have VERY dry skin, and this has kept it in line! I normally have stubborn dry patches around my t-zone, and they have said goodbye! Although something I should mention, this wouldn't be great for oily skin, I think that's very obvious but I wouldn't recommend! I tried it out on my fiance (he has oily skin), and he hated it; he felt uncomfortable and wiped it off almost immediately. Other than that, this would be perfect for normal to very dry skin types.

THE PRICE:

Now for the final showdown! It all comes down to price ... If you don't mind splurging on expensive skincare this may not bother you; but for others it may. It does retail for £36, which some will say is too expensive, and others will not. Me personally it doesn't bother me, but simply because I NEED something that hydrates my skin, otherwise it bleeds and cracks; it becomes incredibly painful for me. I can justify spending a great amount of money on moisturisers, simply because it's a necessity for me. For some of you it will be as well, if you can't afford this, I would suggest it's something to save up for. If your skin cracks up in the winter this will be your bestfriend I can promise you that.
If this product is something that you are interested in, then I highly suggest clicking the link below, even if it's for browsing purposes.
All I know is that it was worth every penny for me, and I will definitely be buying another one when this runs out.

Anyhow, this is the end of this blog post! I hope you enjoyed the read! I will see you again Sunday with an update on how I have been doing this past few months, and what my plans are for the future! I hope you have all had a wonderful day! Stay safe and stay tuned Little Ones! :) x x x

Knock Knock Review

5 days a week planner- knock knock

Twitter:AmyRoseMcGuire
Email: missamymcguire@hotmail.com

Disclaimer: I have not been paid by Knock Knock to do this review, I have always liked their stationary collections. They helped me with exam preparation, planning blogs and organising my week.

Hello again little ones! How have you been today? I've already posted a blog post today, click here if you want to see it.
I've also been planning other blog posts, and spending time in the garden watching Jeremy Kyle :'). Any who, I thought that it was about time to write a review on this fantastic notepad! I've always been a fan of Knock Knock; and when I bought this a few months ago I was relieved! I was able to plan my entire week and segregate what needed done first and what could wait. It's amazing if you need to improve your organisation!
If you want to know more about the product and my thoughts and feelings have a little look down below! :D

If you want to read another review click here!

PRESENTATION:

Knock Knock have always presented their products in a professional and consistent manor. For example they use bright, positive and vibrant colours. I have never bought a product from them, and received something dull or uninteresting. In regards to this 5 days a week pad, it's perfection, for the soul reason that they've actually combined my two favourite colours: orange and baby-blue. This screams happiness. Additionally, I love the fact that it's bold because it's easy to find; as well as this it makes it unique; simply because most stationary pads are plain and boring, this captures my attention in a heartbeat.
Knock knock have organised this pad so it's easy to use by everyone. The 5 columns are clearly sectioned off depending on the day, it gives you more than enough in one day to write what you need. I take down rough notes, as it's just a reminder of what I need to do that day. Also I love the fact that knock knock have faded out the colours so it's not so harsh, for example the lines that divide each section is a lighter orange in comparison to the rich bright orange. I feel that if they had used the same colour orange it would have been too much, an it would have ruined the design completely; but that's just my opinion.
On the other hand, I adore the fine detailing of this product, for example, Knock Knock has placed a 'hopes for the week' and 'results of the week' section in the right hand corner. This is a brilliant idea, simply because, it makes you feel optimistic and positive, you know what you need to do, all you need to do now is to complete the tasks. Every time you tick a task off it's weight lifted off your shoulders, as well as feeling accomplished. In addition, if you think of any other ideas during the weak Knock Knock enable you to write down additional notes in the, weekend  and next week section. And if anything gets too much, or if you forget to do something, you can place it in the snowball in hell section. This makes sure that it will get done, but you obviously have other priorities. Believe me some times I think of new blog posts on the spot and forget what I was originally meant to write.

THE PRODUCT:

The product itself is perfect, I can't say anything bad about this product, if I had to be fussy, and I mean really fussy, I would say that they should come out with different colours for people. They might not like this colour scheme, have more of a variety for people.
On the other hand, I love the way the paper feels, it's super soft, I know some notebooks I've bought and I've hated writing in them because the paper is so rough; it makes me cringe ... Am I the only one that thinks that? :')
Like I've said previously, there is enough space to write notes of what you need to do in that day, it keeps everything separate and organised so you can read everything with ease. Also it gives you enough space in the columns that you can tick off each task when you are done. More-so, this product is small enough to go on your desk, it doesn't take up too much space, and it says on the pack that you can actually use it as a mouse-mat! I know that I will use it in both forms! While I'm sitting at my computer I can see what else I need to do; this is a constant reminder. If you are going to University in September you need this! You need to keep on top of your tasks and work, you don't want to fall behind. you need something that is going to organise your University life and personal life.

PRICE:

This pad retails for £6.95, I bought mine from Waterstones as I was already in there for a book and I saw this. I feel that this is a really good price for what you get. For one the paper is high quality, I've paid more for Oxford notepads and there is less paper in those and they are double the price; this pad is just as good. It's keeps everything organised and I've never seen anything else like this! I have always had to make my timetables on word, I've been looking for something like this foe years, and I came into contact with this product a few months ago.
This is completely worth the money! It saves time and stress! Instead of trying to remember it at the top of your head, (believe me I did this for years and I forgot more than half), write it down!
