Good evening Little ones! I’m back here today, waiting for a stupid headache to fade! Probably doesn’t help that I’m staring at a computer screen; but I’m bored lying in bed. Anyhow, I’ve had this phone for a few weeks now and I love it! I thought that I would show you what I’ve purchased, and my thoughts on this product.
If technology pleases you, and you are a fan of Samsung then you will love this :).

First impression:

First and foremost, I thought the box was stylish yet uninteresting. Sophisticated because the metallic writing was stunning and eye-catching, but that was it. The font was the star of the show, I know the main price is inside, but for such a beautiful product; why not showcase it in a better box? In addition to this, when it came to opening the box the magnetic feature was satisfying and clever. I thought this added a high-end aspect, which I would hope for since the phone is worth £500.
From working in a phone shop, I have seen many Samsung S7 edges, but I have never seen a pink gold one; until I unveiled mine. When I saw my phone, I was stunned! I know it’s just a phone, but this was going to be my baby for a while, (until the s8 comes out), but it’s still going to be mine as a work phone! Samsung really nailed the colours-schemes for the s7! See I’m not a fan of pink, but this isn’t IN YOUR FACE PINK. It’s delicate and captivating.
As I peeled the plastic sheets off the phone, I was met with a blinding shine! It’s rose gold heaven! And actually, ROSE GOLD! Not pink … Apple need to up their game in regards to their rose “rose gold” phone. In contrast to this, I thought the size was perfect, not too big and not too small. In compassion to my last phone, Sony Z5 premium it’s a walk in the park! I can actually hold this phone without my hand cramping. Also, I find the phone easier to hold because of the curve, with the Sony Z5 premium, it was so hard I thought I was going to drop it, and because I like taking pictures, it was near enough impossible unless you have gigantic hands. On the other hand, just like most phone companies, Samsung provides you with a charger and earphones. But not just any charger, a fast charger! Which I love! They also give you a usb adapter for transferring your old phone data to your new phone.
Last and certainly not least, I love that Samsung haven’t plastered their brand name all over the phone, it’s on the back of the phone, and on the top (but in very small font). I find that having the brand name all over the place in big letters … Tacky. Might sound silly, but that’s just my opinion.
Overall, I find that it looks like a beautiful phone, even before using it.

Setting it up:

In regards to setting this phone up, it wasn’t hard in the slightest. If you are used to any Android phone, this will be simple for you. All you have to do is follow the prompts and insert the information they require. For example, a passcode and fingerprint set-up. Also in regards to unlocking your phone with the fingerprint, it’s very fast (when it works). There are times when it won’t recognise my finger, but that happens very rare; but that happens with so many other devices, Apple included… I would know I own an iPad Pro.
On the other hand, doing a data transfer is easy, Samsung actually provides you with a usb adapter which you plug into your own phone, and with that your contacts and pictures are on your new phone. In my perspective, I don’t like doing that, simply because if I have a new phone I want to start a fresh, plus there were people who had my previous number which I don’t want to have.
In conclusion, my first impression with this product is extremely high! I’ve now used the phone for a couple of weeks, as mentioned previously, and I love it very much. It’s super quick and easy to use. So much better than Apple.

This is now the end of the blog post, I hope you enjoyed reading it! If you are a tech person I’m sure you enjoyed this! Whereas if you’re not, but you like shiny things then hey-ho, I hope you liked it either way. I love you all so very much, and I will see you tomorrow with a non-vegan recipe! Sweet dreams! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones! :D x x x

Advice on planning a Marketing essay

Planning a Marketing essay

Good Morning Little ones (nearly the afternoon), just managed to get writing this, but I got my results back yesterday from my first exam; and I am more than happy with them! But this got me thinking, the only reason I manged to get such a high grade; was because I planned strategically hard. If you do Marketing, or if you struggle writing essays, then give this little blog post a read. I'm also going to interject some examples that the exam gave me.
Have a great day Little ones, I will also see you later on today as well! Can't wait!

Analyse the question:

If you are anything like me, looking at the question time and time again can get rather frustrating. Appose to staring at it and hoping that it’ll give you the answers, take out the key words and put in your own words what it’s asking you to do. This way it’ll be easier to understand, and you won’t want to pull your hair. In my perspective, my exam asked me to, “Is there a fine line between persuading and manipulating customers into buying products/services. And does cooperate propaganda still exist?”.
First impressions were this is all over the place, immediately I thought that it would be best to find the definitions to manipulating and persuading. With this information, I was able to find techniques to both phrases, which I knew would help when analysing one of my points. I then thought that it would be best to find two companies that persuaded customers and one which manipulated them; this way I was able to differentiate between the wrong and right way to promote products to future consumers. On the other hand, the second aspect of the question was about propaganda, in my situation I found out the definition and applied the companies I had already researched, being Apple and Superdrug, and applied it to their advertising strategies.

Apply the correct essay structure:

Fundamentally, having the correct essay structure is the foundation to a perfect essay. If you know what you are going to write about, and how to do it, it’ll be a walk in the park for you. Whereas if you struggle then this is the construction I would follow:

Point-have a strong and engaging point. This shows that you know what you are talking about from the beginning and will give you extra marks because of this. Keep it brief and to the point, I’ve made mistakes from this in the past; but I have learnt from those.
In my exam, my first point was, “fundamentally, a company that successfully persuades their customers would be Apple. They give clear descriptions of the product offering, no hidden costs, and they are specific”. This gives a brief description about the company and how they work, as well as putting your own opinion across to the examiner.

Evidence- to make your point strong, you need to have factual evidence to support your point, or the examiner could think that you made this up. In my situation, I referenced the Apple advert for the iPhone 7 release. ALWAYS use evidence, whether it’s from moving image or print, always use it.

Analyses- this is the most CRUCIAL part to the essay! This is what shows that you understand the question. When analysing you need to put forward your argument, you need to answer the questions, why they did it that way and how. If you constantly have the why and how in your mind; and you can answer that, that’ll give you high marks … 100% guaranteed.
An example of my piece of work is as followed:

“Portrays and states “25% brighter retina display, longest iPhone battery ever”. This is a proper way of persuasion because they are not lying to their customers, otherwise it would be manipulation. By keeping it brief they are not boring their consumers, they are keeping their attention; which increases Apple’s chance of persuading their customers to buy the iPhone 7”.

Reference- I can’t stress this enough! YOU NEED TO REFERENCE! You will lose marks! If you can’t state where you got the information from then you are in trouble! Also, when you are referencing, you have to do it in the Harvard style. For example, when it came to refencing the Apple advert I presented it like this: Apple, 16-09-2016, Apple-iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in 107 seconds, video, online ULR-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geoveidgym4. Lat moderated 7-09-16.

Link-ALWAYS link back to the question. It always rounds up your original point and makes it neat and tidy. That way that point is officially closed and you can move on to your next point.

In contrast to this, the essay structure should look like this:
Introduction: define the keywords, input what you are going to be doing in this essay and apply any context information about the companies (if needed).
Point one: make your point, back it up using PEARL and repeat.
Point two: make your point, back it up using PEARL and repeat.
Point three: make your point, back it up using PEARL and repeat.
Conclusion: conclude what you have done, and say what you final opinion is and relate to certain points of the essay, and then link back to the question as a final round up.

Depending on how many words and how much time you need is dependent on how many points you can come up with. I managed to write 3 key points in the space of an hour with a clear introduction and conclusion.

Thank you for reading this blog post Little ones! It’s a shame that it’s now over, but I will be back later! I’ll be writing a blog post in the middle of LAN (gaming society that I help run at University). But I have missed you all so very much! See you VERY soon!
Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones! :D  x x x

Good Morning Little ones! It's been a rather terrifying week, first with my kidney infection and now this event. I've been trying to relax for a few days, but I just needed to write about this. My life flashed before my eyes, literally still shocked. You may or may not already know that I was submitted to hospital yesterday, due to me falling over and landing on a shard of glass.
If you would like to know more about this then have a little read down below.
I'm also going to be interjecting pictures, so quick disclaimer: if you can't handle blood then don't look at the pictures below the blog post.
I hope you are all happy and healthy, love you all so very much :).

What happened:

Profoundly, I had just finished my morning Marketing lecture, I was given a 1 hour lunch break, which was enough time for me to make and eat lunch. as well as read another chapter of, The Lake House-Kate Morton, (amazing book, would really recommend).
I arrived home and pasta came to mind, as well as a drink, because I was SO thirsty. I went to grab a pint glass, but knocked on the floor because the draining board was crowded with other dished. I had a smash. As I went to pick up the remains I fell over my feet ... Yes my own FEET, and landed on the floor. Knowing there was glass there I put my hands out to protect my face. I looked at my hands and I was petrified with what I saw. Blood was spurting out my wrist, instinct was to put as much pressure on my wrist as possible. I screamed, Chris tuned around and looked at me with alarming eyes. He called an ambulance and rushed me down the stairs. I was running as fast as I could, I felt faint while sprinting down the spiral stairs. I manged to fight the urge. I saw the front desk of the University in sight, and burst into a full blown panic attack. I could hear Chris shouting at the ambulance team, as they said they were going to be hours. The team on the front desk went into medical mode and tried to calm me down, I couldn't breath, everything around me was dimming. I remember a man holding my hand and trying to clean my cut and saying. "it's not that bad". He went to take a look, and to his horror he gasped and told me to get in his car as he was rushing me to hospital. At this point I was freaking out, Chris was holding my hand. I thought I was going to die.
I arrived at the hospital, they examined me and managed to control the bleeding.
The worst was over,  I was then put in the waiting room to get stitches. 5 hours it took. 5 hours in the waiting room and I finally was able to get my stitches.
I stumbled into the A&E department, bear in my I still hadn't eaten all day, and by this point it was 5pm. They examined my arm and was contemplating what to do, they said and I quote, "I have never seen anything like this, it's so deep, we are surprised you are still alive, you could have cut a major blood clot". As you can imagine I started crying at the thought I could have died. I could have died ... That was terrifying to me, I could have died and I didn't. I am so grateful. Words can't even describe.
So thankful for the people that stitched me up and calmed me down. So thankful for my boyfriend Chris holding my hand all the way through. He's my star.

PICTURES ARE BELOW, DON'T LOOK IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE BLOOD!

Sorry if the images have lines in them, the light I was under distorted the image. The pictures don't justify how deep it was, but 5 entire stitches! This is the craziest thing that has happened! I have never broken a bone, but I would have rather broken something, than being told I could have died.
I hope this was an entertaining blog post for you guys, now that I'm sitting down at my computer, I am so entirely grateful for what I have in life.
I love you all so very much, see you later with a phone unboxing! I love you all so very much!
Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones! :) x x x

Good morning Little ones! Long time so see on the vegan recipes! I'm back in action and creating so much more! It's autumn, and what's better to eat this time of year than steamy mash potato. Normally I would have gem-potatoes, simply because that's all I've ever had. I've never actually tried sweet potato mash; which shocks me as I love sweet potato.
Enough rambling, if you want to make this concoction then follow the simple instructions down below:).

If you want to see another vegan recipe, click here!

Ingredients:

  • 3 sweet potatoes;
  • vegan cream (Alpro);
  • 1 birds-eye chilli-VERY HOT be warned;
  • 2 spring onions;
  • 2 carrots.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Prepare you vegetables: peel the carrots and potatoes. Chop the carrots into fine chunks and place them into a large pan, do the same with the sweet potato.
    Dice the chilli and spring onion and put to one side;
  2. Put 2lts of water into the kettle and wait until boiled. Once boiled pour the water into the large pan, in which the carrots and potatoes are;
  3. Leave to cook for 20 minutes (until soft);
  4. When the carrots and potatoes are done mash them with a folk until fully combined.
  5. Add the Alpro cream and stir together. Once combined add the chilli and spring onion and stir again.
  6. Plate up and ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Spring onion:
Onions are a great antioxidant, they also contain low fat saturation, this won't clog up your arteries, as it reduces cholesterol, in comparison to a normal red or green onion, this is so much better for your mental and physical health.

Carrots:
This root vegetable is also a good source of antioxidant agents. Which simply means that they are detoxing your body, and making sure that bad bacteria stays away.

Sweet potato:

Sweet potato is enriched with beta-carotene. In the body, beta-carotene converts into vitamin A (retinol). We need vitamin A for good vision and eye health, for a strong immune system, and for healthy skin and

This is now the end of the blog post! I hope you enjoy this tasty snack/meal. Eat it with whatever you want, I love it alone as an afternoon stack; especially when it's cold outside. I can place this into a bowl, get all snuggled in bed and eat :).
I hope you are all happy and healthy, I'm going out to London again today, and also getting my hair dyed! I can't wait to show you! Stay tuned and stay safe Little ones! I love you! x x x

iPad Pro unboxing

Good evening Little ones! How are  you this evening? I've been a little down in the dumps lately, if you want to know more about that then let me know :).
Any who, I've recently purchased a new iPad! It's about time I upgraded.
I loved my previous iPad, but I needed something that was capable to keep up with my University work ... So it was time to bring the iPad Pro into my life :).
If you enjoy Apple products, or just love first impression blog posts then give this a little read :).

First impressions:

First and foremost, the box was beautiful.
Apple packaging has always been well presented. I was too excited that I didn't even take a picture of the front! I was focused on the product inside ... I'm such a child, I know! All I can say, is that it was iconically white, and the show-stopper was situated in the middle of the box. Gold radiated from the centre, it was the main focus point, all eyes was on the picture of the iPad.
Fast forward ... To the unboxing! There in front of me was the iPad. It was protected with a plastic cloth, peeling that off the surface was fantastic. You know the feeling, when you buy a new phone, or piece of technology. There it was, in my hands. The iPad Pro 9.7 was right there. The pure metal back and the glass display was stunning. It looked opulent, which reflects the brand Apple. They are a well known company for producing high-end products. When I turned it over, as you can see in the images above, it screams enchantment. The gold in my opinion is classy and gorgeous. Normally I don't like gold but I love it on the iPad! It doesn't look tacky at all! It really suits it, Apple did a VERY good job in pulling this off. In addition to this, the Apple logo was sheer glass, but tainted with a sheen golden tone. It interlinks with the entire iPad, which I love. Because if you know me, I have OCD, and having everything that corresponds to one another makes me extremely content.
I then had to put the iPad to one side, of which I came face to face with the accessories. To which I would expect in the box to be perfectly honest. As you can see in the first image, there is the plug, and then the cable adaptor; in which you evidently need to charge this bad boy up.

Setting it up:

Fundamentally, because I had used an iPad in the past it was easy setting this baby up! And it'll be easy for you too if you have or haven't used Apple products before.
Apple make it super easy to understand, and to use. For example, it won't let you proceed until you know what to do, so it's impossible to make a mistake. The font is large enough for anyone to read; which is perfect for me because my short range is awful! I love that Apple advocates to my needs, as well as other people with sight difficulties.
After I had set up the basics, it was time to use my iPad. I thought it would be fair to test it out in an actual Marketing lecture! And I have to say it was amazing! The battery power is fantastic, lasted the full 3 hours, with constant note taking and full brightness, and even internet browsing. It was super fast and kept me up to date with what I was doing. So much easier than writing down notes physically.
I would highly recommend this product! I would say that the 12inch is way too big! But you never know, if you need a mini computer then why not? I love the sizing of this particular iPad. It's lightweight, easy to carry around, and is super powerful. Perfect for University work!

This is now the end of the blog post Little ones! I hope you liked this little read, something a little different I guess? Any who, I have missed you all so very much, and I will see you again tomorrow evening! As I'm working tomorrow morning and I finish at 5:30. I'll be back at University for 7 at the VERY latest! But I will have at least 1 blog post, if not then I will try for 2!
I love you so very much! Sweet dreams Little ones! Stay safe and stay tuned! :D x x x

Good afternoon Little ones! How have you been? I'm terribly sorry that I've been away, personal life has been hectic; but I'm back again! I'm going to be writing a few more blog posts today as I've missed you guys so much. In regards to this recipe it came to mind when I was super hungry; I needed a quick fix, I looked at what I had in the fridge and BOOM dinner was made. If you are a University student then this is music to your ears. I know how busy you lot are, I'm just here to help you out :).
If you like the sound of this then give it a little read! Plus you can do whatever you want with it, make it your own.
If you want to read other non-vegan recipes click here!

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams pasta (I ran out of fusilli so I had to use some spaghetti as well), doesn't really matter as long as it's pasta;
  • 3 tbs mayonnaise;
  • 1 chilli;
  • 15 grams mozzarella;
  • 1 chicken leg precooked.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Boil 500ml water and place into a medium or large pan, add the pasta and stir, cook for 10 minutes (I love my pasta al dente);
  2. when the pasta has cooked drain it and put pack into the pan;
  3. add the mayonnaise, chilli and chicken and stir until fully combined;
  4. put the pan back on the heat and finally add the cheese, stop stirring until the cheese is stringy;
  5. plate up and ... ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Chicken:
Chicken as we all know contains an mass amount of protein, this repairs your muscles and insures that they won't rip or pull. This is crucial in your diet if you do weight-training or any form of sports.

This is now the end of my blog post! But don't worry, I'm about to write another one! After I come back from town and finish off some Uni work. I would like to say another sorry for not posting as much recently; if you would like to know more about that, then please let me know in the comments section down below; or use my social media.
I hope you have all been ok! I love you all so very much! I will see you again today! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones! :) x x x

Story-time: Rounders ball knocked me out

Good Morning Little ones! How have you been today? I'm about to head to a lecture but I thought that I would give you a quick story-time at a time I was seriously injured in rounders. Now that I look back at this I find it funny; but it could of been serious. Have a good time reading this, I will see you again soon Little ones :).
If you want to read another story time click here!

BACKSTORY:

You are probably wondering what Btec Sport is, let me inform you, it's P.E (Physical Education) on steroids. People who enjoyed sports and wanted to take it seriously did this course .. And yes I did this on top of normal P.E as well. I was known as the person that would go on long runs for fun ... Yes I was one of those, and my P.E group hated me for it.
Anyhow, every term the sport changes, and this time it was going to be rounders, with PROPER rounders balls. In P.E we would use tennis balls "just encase someone got hurt". Those rules didn't apply in Btec Sport, you played the sport properly or you didn't at all ... They took it seriously in this course. In my perspective  I didn't care, I was actually quite excited, I wasn't the worst at rounders, I could hit the ball and I could run fast; which are the two main aspects in rounders. Was I intimidated that we had to use real rounders balls? No, because we knew how to play and how to play safely, plus I felt proud, simply because we were the only group that were allowed to do this. Bur that being said, you can't be stupid because there is no protective gear in rounders, so if that hits you, you are in serious trouble.
In regards to my class they were really cool, I was intimidated by some as they were really competitive, but all in all they had banter and they looked after one another.

WHAT HAPPENED?

It had been maybe 25 minutes into the lesson, we had been practising our fielding word, hand work and swinging technique, It was time for us to play. We were divided into two teams, the team with the most rounders wins.
How the game works is, you make the ball go as far as you can, within that time you have to run around 4 posts, if you run to the last post without anyone catching the ball, or running to get you out, you get one rounder. If the other team get you out you aren't allowed to play until the next game. Therefore the game will continue until you get EVERYONE out. But Btec sport don't mess around, you play properly or not at all, so if you are scared of the sport there is no point doing it; you have to man up.
It had been 10 minutes at least, there were three of us remaining on the batting team, I was one of them. It was my turn to bat again, I hit the ball, it wasn't my greatest shot but I managed to get to third base, I didn't score a full rounder, but I managed to get half a rounder because I had managed to get at least half-way. I was just chilling there.When the next batter hits the ball you can literally just walk to 4th base because it's so close; but you won't slow the other person down.
The other team member hits the ball, as I walk to 4th base I'm knocked out. The batter decided to change where she was going to aim the ball, but she forgot that I was walking in the same direction. That ball hit me at such a speed I was knocked out.
I remember waking up and spitting a mass amount of blood on the grass, I then started to panic because I couldn't feel my teeth, I looked up and the teacher and team was around me. I asked my teacher, "Are my teeth still there?", he just laughed and went yes Amy, but that should be the last thing to worry about right now. They helped me up and took me to the School nurse, which tried to clean my mouth and face. but she was heaving (she was scared of blood). She gave me a mass amount of tissues and said that she was going to call my Dad, of which I said, "I have an English test to go to, I can't miss it". I then run to my English lesson, still covered in blood from my sports kit. During the test my mouth was leaking blood all over the table, of which my English teacher, (which was my favourite teacher, and I was her favourite student) exclaimed, "Amy you can do this another time, get cleaned up". I just continued with my work, and left after the lesson was over. She then took me to the medical room again and called my parents herself.
I was taken home ... And the next day I came into School, and my lips looked like slugs, they were purple, bloody and blotchy. It has looked like I got lip-injections that went wrong. That stayed there for a month ... An entire month. And I still played rounders after that, I wasn't backing down.

AFTERMATH:

I still continued to play the sport, I was a little nervous but I wasn't backing down from something that I loved doing. My English test went brilliantly! Managed to get an A, despite the fact I was bleeding all over the table; and making my classmates cringe at the sight of me.
It's also made me a stronger person, because when I look back at it, I was so brave, I did that, I manged to get up and take an exam after that. It does change my outlook, because if I'm feeling down I just think about this time, I could do it then, I can do it now :).

This is now the end of the blog post, I hope you enjoyed this and take some inspiration from it. I look back at it now and it was funny, but also frightening at the same time, because what if that hit my head? It could have been a different story.
Anyhow, I love you all so very much! Please stay safe and stay tuned! I will see you again with another blog post soon :) x x x
