CARROT AND ORANGE CAKE:

Good afternoon Little Ones! How are you all? I'm back again with another baking blog post! I was planning on doing a product review; but seeing that I wanted to bake, that's what I did instead! But don't worry! Product reviews are coming next week!
I didn't want to bake something that was plain and simple, let's be real here; that's not how I roll! Many of you will know that by now, but for my new fans, I'm not the typical blogger, have a scroll through my older blog posts! Anyhow, off topic, let's get baking! That's why your here right?

TIPS BEFORE BAKING:

The recipe book I was following was excellent, but I felt there were some simple tips that could've been added, just to make the baking experience even easier. For instance, it states that you mix all the ingredients at the same time ... Please don't do this. I find it a lot easier if you mix all the wet ingredients, and then add the dry ingredients. First and foremost, mix the sugar and butter together, that way when you add the other wet ingredients; it's easier to combine. Just a little tip.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Wooden spoon,
  • Large bowl,
  • Medium bowl,
  • Sieve,
  • 2lb loaf tin
  • Grease-proof paper.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 orange,
  • 150 grams butter (soft)
  • 150 grams light mascovado sugar
  • 175 grams grated carrot
  • 2 large eggs,
  • 200 grams self-raising flour,
  • 1 tsp baker powder,
  • Half tsp ground mixed spice
  • Honey (OPTIONAL)

METHOD:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees fan, or 160 degrees gas.
  2. Prepare the loaf tin-lightly butter the inside and place grease proof paper on top,
  3. Prepare your fruit and vegetable. Grate the orange peel and place to one side, then cut the orange into segments and diminish the pith.
    Only grate the carrot and place to one side.
  4. Add the butter and sugar into a large bowl and cream together until fully combined, add the other wet increments: carrot, orange peel, eggs, mix until fully combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients: flour, mixed spice, baking powder and fold in until combined.
  6. Place the mixture into the loaf tin and bake for an hour,
  7. Take the cake out of the oven, place the orange segments on top, and glaze honey on top of the orange (OPTIONAL), and place back into the oven for 5 more minutes.
  8. After the 5 minutes is up, let the cake cool for 30 minutes and enjoy with your favourite cream or custard!
Well, this is the end of another blog post! I hope you enjoyed this one! I've already had a nibble of my cake, and I love it! I can't wait to have some more after dinner! If you want some more baking blog posts, please do let me know, and I will accommodate to your needs. If you want something else other than baking, again, use the comment section down below, or my social media handles! I love you all so very much, and I will see you again Monday with another blog post!
Remember to stay safe and stay tuned! :) x x x

Good morning Little ones! Long time so see on the vegan recipes! I'm back in action and creating so much more! It's autumn, and what's better to eat this time of year than steamy mash potato. Normally I would have gem-potatoes, simply because that's all I've ever had. I've never actually tried sweet potato mash; which shocks me as I love sweet potato.
Enough rambling, if you want to make this concoction then follow the simple instructions down below:).

If you want to see another vegan recipe, click here!

Ingredients:

  • 3 sweet potatoes;
  • vegan cream (Alpro);
  • 1 birds-eye chilli-VERY HOT be warned;
  • 2 spring onions;
  • 2 carrots.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Prepare you vegetables: peel the carrots and potatoes. Chop the carrots into fine chunks and place them into a large pan, do the same with the sweet potato.
    Dice the chilli and spring onion and put to one side;
  2. Put 2lts of water into the kettle and wait until boiled. Once boiled pour the water into the large pan, in which the carrots and potatoes are;
  3. Leave to cook for 20 minutes (until soft);
  4. When the carrots and potatoes are done mash them with a folk until fully combined.
  5. Add the Alpro cream and stir together. Once combined add the chilli and spring onion and stir again.
  6. Plate up and ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Spring onion:
Onions are a great antioxidant, they also contain low fat saturation, this won't clog up your arteries, as it reduces cholesterol, in comparison to a normal red or green onion, this is so much better for your mental and physical health.

Carrots:
This root vegetable is also a good source of antioxidant agents. Which simply means that they are detoxing your body, and making sure that bad bacteria stays away.

Sweet potato:

Sweet potato is enriched with beta-carotene. In the body, beta-carotene converts into vitamin A (retinol). We need vitamin A for good vision and eye health, for a strong immune system, and for healthy skin and

This is now the end of the blog post! I hope you enjoy this tasty snack/meal. Eat it with whatever you want, I love it alone as an afternoon stack; especially when it's cold outside. I can place this into a bowl, get all snuggled in bed and eat :).
I hope you are all happy and healthy, I'm going out to London again today, and also getting my hair dyed! I can't wait to show you! Stay tuned and stay safe Little ones! I love you! x x x

Good afternoon Little ones! How have you been? I'm terribly sorry that I've been away, personal life has been hectic; but I'm back again! I'm going to be writing a few more blog posts today as I've missed you guys so much. In regards to this recipe it came to mind when I was super hungry; I needed a quick fix, I looked at what I had in the fridge and BOOM dinner was made. If you are a University student then this is music to your ears. I know how busy you lot are, I'm just here to help you out :).
If you like the sound of this then give it a little read! Plus you can do whatever you want with it, make it your own.

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams pasta (I ran out of fusilli so I had to use some spaghetti as well), doesn't really matter as long as it's pasta;
  • 3 tbs mayonnaise;
  • 1 chilli;
  • 15 grams mozzarella;
  • 1 chicken leg precooked.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Boil 500ml water and place into a medium or large pan, add the pasta and stir, cook for 10 minutes (I love my pasta al dente);
  2. when the pasta has cooked drain it and put pack into the pan;
  3. add the mayonnaise, chilli and chicken and stir until fully combined;
  4. put the pan back on the heat and finally add the cheese, stop stirring until the cheese is stringy;
  5. plate up and ... ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Chicken:
Chicken as we all know contains an mass amount of protein, this repairs your muscles and insures that they won't rip or pull. This is crucial in your diet if you do weight-training or any form of sports.

This is now the end of my blog post! But don't worry, I'm about to write another one! After I come back from town and finish off some Uni work. I would like to say another sorry for not posting as much recently; if you would like to know more about that, then please let me know in the comments section down below; or use my social media.

Non-vegan: Not your average scrambled egg

Scrambled eggs, sour-cream and chive sauce and sriracha

If you want to keep up to date with that I do on a daily basis follow me on my social media above, and I'll be sure to follow you right back :).

Good evening Little ones! How have you been today? I've been doing University work, damn I've just finished it all! I've now just found the time to sit down and write this blog post:).
I still can't believe how fast this day has gone! A lot of work and power naps with my boyfriend, nothing better than that. Any how, I made this concoction yesterday and I loved it! I also made it again because Chris wanted to try it, and just as I thought he loved it also :).
If you want to find out how to make this then have a little gander down below.

If you want to read other non-vegan recipes click here!

Fundamentally when you make this you can make your own sour cream and chive sauce, or you can buy it from the shops. I have tried both methods, both just as great; but if you are in a rush or don't really care then just buy the sauces from the shop :).

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs (or as many your stomach is telling you to eat);
  • butter or cream (optional);
  • sour cream and chive dip;
  • spicy sauce (if you fancy some heat);
  • 10 grams cheese.

STEPS ON  HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Take a medium pan and put some butter in there, let it melt slowly on a low medium heat;
  2. crack your eggs into a bowl and whisk, add salt and pepper and mix until combined;
  3. when the butter is melted put the eggs into the pan and stir, turn the heat up to gas mark 4; keep stirring as you don't want the eggs sticking to the bottom;
  4. when the eggs start forming bash them with a wooden spoon, as you want them to be separate and not a clump;
  5. when the eggs are cooked to your perfection add the sour cream and chive sauce, stir until combined;
  6. (optional) add in the chilli sauce with the sour cream sauce for some additional heat;
  7. place your scrambled eggs into a bowl. put some bread in the toaster and ENJOY! :D

Why these ingredients?

Eggs:
Eggs are a very good source of inexpensive, high quality protein. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white along with vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat and cholesterol than the yolk.

This is now the end of the blog post Little ones! I hope you enjoyed this non-vegan recipe. It's quick and easy to make, and handy if you are constantly on the go. If you are an egg fan then you are in luck today! Why not try something new for  your breakfast tomorrow? :).
If you do re-create this please tag me on my social media down below, or let me know what you thought about it in the comment section.
I love you all so very much, I will see you tomorrow with a product review and something special! Sweet dreams! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Good afternoon Little ones! How are you today? I've had no lectures, but I have been very productive! I've cleaned the apparent, gone shopping, planned future blog posts; and also bought the very ingredients for this blog post :). But I still have to do some more research for my first assignment; which is going very well, I'm aiming for an A and I think it's going that way! Any how, I thought that it would be great to show you some drink recipes! It's something I haven't done in a while; and I really miss making them! So here it is, get ready and have some fun!

Ingredients:

  • One entire bottle of elderflour (you can use flat or sparkling, it depends on what you want); I went with sparkling because my boyfriend adores fizzy drinks; especially when something sweet is involved;
  • 50 grams raspberries, (frozen or fresh), I went with frozen because I wanted something cold and refreshing;
  • 2 clementines;
  • ice cubes (optional).

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Prepare your fruit: peel  the oranges and cut them into cubes, put the correct amount of raspberries to one side, as well as the ice cubes;
  2. choose your required blender, I used the blendactive blender by Breville, I think it's fantastic, easy to use and easy to clean- if you want to see my review click here;
  3. put the fruit. ice and elderflower liquid into the blender;
  4. BLEND!
  5. Take it on the go or put them into glasses, and ENJJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Raspberry:
Raspberries is one of the greatest antioxidant foods, it cleanses the body and makes you feel great inside. As well as being super delicious, raspberries can also prevent cancer, science studies have shown this.

Clementines:
Clementines are juicy delights rich in variety of vital nutrients including minerals such ascalciummagnesiumpotassium. This is fantastic brain food, and also makes you feel awake. This is the perfect fruit in the morning, as it gives you enough energy to start the day.

Little ones, I'm sorry to say that this is the end of the blog post, but fear not! I will be back tomorrow with a fantastic review, stay tuned if you are interested. I hope you have had a lovely day, I know that I've had a really productive day; which makes one of my favourites. I love you all so very much! Remember I am only a message away if you want to talk to me or ask me anything; I will answer the best that I can :).

Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Good morning you lovely people! How was your day yesterday? I had a gorgeous meal with my man last night, I was also meant to post this yesterday but I was so tired due to my lectures; I just wanted to hit the hay. Any how, what are you up to today? I don't have another lecture until 2 this afternoon! I can relax until then :).
I thought that it was about time to introduce something new to my blog, so here it is! Non-vegan recipes, I will post these throughout the week, I want to reach a wider target audience; and if that means bringing non-vegan meals into the equation then so be it :).
I hope you enjoy these romantic recipe, hopefully see you in the next one :).

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Fundamentally, the story behind this meal wasn't as romantic as it portrays. Me and my other half were so stressed, due to work and our own personal life; that toppled on moving in; it just got too much. We wanted our own time together, in which we have finally obtained. We created this meal to celebrate our new chapter together; in which I was so happy and he was too. We finally have our own home; it feels amazing to share a home with my Christopher :).
As shown in the pictures above the meal wasn't vegan, Chris didn't want an entire vegan meal, which I can completely understand ; I'm not going to make him change his diet because of me; that would be so unfair. So I ate the meal with him, I'm still vegan but I'm not entirely strict about turning other people vegan; if they want to do it then so be it; but I'm not going to kick up a fuss. Especially in this circumstance, Chris wanted to have a non-vegan meal, so I agreed to let that happen; it's not a moment of weakness; it's being respectful to the people I love.
In addition to this, I was thinking about my non-vegan friends, and they wanted me to post non-vegan recipes, so that they can recreate what I do on the internet, so here I am, giving what the people want :).

INGREDIENTS:

  • 100 grams gluten free pasta (I have to eat this pasta because gluten makes my tummy angry);
  • 50 grams spinach;
  • 50ml single cream;
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese;
  • 1 chili;
  • 2 chicken breast;
  • olive oil (for the frying pan);
  • salt

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS;

  1. Pour 500ml of boiled water into a pan, add a pitch on salt and stir;
  2. put the pasta into the pan and put the lid in-top. Then turn the power onto a low simmer (1-2), cook for 8-10 minutes;
  3. when the pasta is cooking prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breast into fine chunks, this will make it cook faster.
  4. put oil in a frying pan and turn the heat to number 5, wait until it's boiling hot. When the pan has reached the correct temperature throw the chicken chunks in;
  5. drain the pasta and add the single cream, when the creamy concoction is steaming and boiling add all the spinach until it wilts (this will take around 5 minutes);
  6. add the already cooked chicken from earlier and stir well;
  7. add the parmesan and stir until there is cheese everywhere;
  8. plate up and add extra cheese on top (if you want);
  9. ENJOY!:D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS:

Spinach:
Abundant flavonoids in spinach act as antioxidants to keep cholesterol from oxidizing and protect your body from free radicals, particularly in the colon. The folate in spinach is good for your healthy cardiovascular system, and magnesium helps lower high blood pressure.

Chicken:
Chicken as we all know contains an mass amount of protein, this repairs your muscles and insures that they won't rip or pull. This is crucial in your diet if you do weight-training or any form of sports. In a way I had to have chicken yesterday, since I'm now back in the gym.

This is the end of my blog post, I really hoped you enjoyed this! It was highly requested to do non-vegan recipes, I just want to give to you ALL. If you are vegan or not. I hope that you respect the way that I have chosen to do my blog; I just want to give to everyone; I want to make EVERYONE happy :).
I love you all so very much, if you have anymore questions or requests please do let me know in the comment section down below; or my social media. Have a lovely day and I will see you again later!

Welcome again Little ones! How are you today? I feel the autumn hitting, the leaves are turning and I love it. I've been having a relaxing day today, it was also my Mothers Birthday! She was ever so happy with what I bought her :). Other than spending time with her I thought that it was about time to experiment in the kitchen and make another vegan recipe! So here it is ladies and gents! Get in that kitchen and start cooking!

If you want to see another vegan recipe, click here!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams self-raising flour;
  • salt;
  • 50 grams caster sugar;
  • 50 grams coconut oil (put in the fridge before use, this is your butter subsistence);
  • 15ml almond milk;
  • 25 grams frozen raspberries.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees;
  2. prepare baking tray: brush on vegetable oil onto a baking pan and place over grease-proof paper, this is where you will place your cakes later;
  3. Sift the flour and pinch of salt into a large bowl;
  4. take the coconut oil out of the fridge, this should be solid enough to place into the flour, you should then rub the flour and coconut oil together until it forms fine breadcrumbs;
  5. put the caster sugar into the flour mixture and mix until well combined;
  6. put in the raspberries and mix until well combined, there should be a raspberry in every bite of the rock-cake;
  7. pour in the almond milk, stir until all the cake batter has joined together;
  8. take some of the mixture into your hands and place onto the baking sheet you prepared earlier. Make a circle, but do it imperfectly (as shown in the first picture), this makes it more authentic;
  9. repeat stage 8 until all the mixture has been used up;
  10. put into the oven for 15 minutes, you know they are done when the edges are golden brown;
  11. put onto a plate and ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Raspberry:
Raspberries is one of the greatest antioxidant foods, it cleanses the body and makes you feel great inside. As well as being super delicious, raspberries can also prevent cancer, science studies have shown this.

Almond milk:
Almond milk is filled with potassium, this helps prepare and enhance: cells, tissue and organs in the human body. This is essential in everyday life, you always need to repair yourself.

Coconut oil:
Coconut oil high in natural saturated fats. Saturated fats not only increase the healthy cholesterol (known as HDL) in your body, but also help to convert the LDL “bad” cholesterol into good cholesterols. So if you are on a high fat diet, try coconut oil instead, it will benefit your heart at the end of the day.

Ok Little ones! This is the time where I depart, but don't you worry I will be back later on with something new! Sounds exciting right?! I will be introducing a new segment to my blog entirely; find out later on by following my social media! :D

It was fun making these bundles of joys, please show me your recreations, or tell me if you loved them, I know me and my boyfriend did :).
Any how, I love you all so very much, see you again soon! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :)

Good afternoon, how are you all today? It's been a while since I've posted a vegan recipe, I'm really sorry about that, I've been traveling due to work training! I made this delicious concoction yesterday evening and I loved it; I'm using the left overs and eating it for lunch today :).
I hope you are having a lovely day so far, I know that I will be ordering my boyfriends anniversary present right after this!
Any how, if you want to know how to make this recipe, have a read below and enjoy! :D

Ingredients

  • 50 grams plain rice;
  • 3 vegan sausages (I used Linda McCartney);
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 red pepper;
  • 1 garlic clove;
  • chili sauce (optional)

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. At the same time take 300ml of water and boil it, place the boiled water in a medium pan and turn the heating setting on 2-3;
  2. place the rice into the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes;
  3. when the oven as reached 180, put the sausages in and cook for 10 minutes;
  4. prepare your vegetables: cut the onion into fine pieces, and do the same with the pepper and garlic. Put all the veg into one bowl and keep to one side;
  5. drain the rice and place into your bowl of choice;
  6. take the veg and mix it in with the rice;
  7. take the sausages, cut them up and mix it together with the rice and veg mixture;
  8. drizzle chili sauce on top (optional);
  9. ENJOY! :D

Why these ingredients?

Garlic:
Depending on how we prepare our garlic depends on how much nutrients we get out of it; this is why I have suggested either: cutting or crushing. This increases the enzymes within the garlic, these enzymes can prevent cancer.

Onion:
Onions are a great antioxidant, they also contain low fat saturation, this won't clog up your arteries, as it reduces cholesterol, in comparison to a normal red or green onion, this is so much better for your mental and physical health.

This is the end of my blog post! Thank you all for being so patient with me, I have missed making these recipes, but unfortunately you will have to wait at least once a week for these; simply because I'm going to France Thursday, and I'm back at my training Monday and Tuesday. But I will be trying to create vegan recipes in France! I love you all so very much, and I love that you enjoy my blog posts! I am going to eat some lunch and finish getting ready :).
Have a lovely day and I will see you tomorrow with an advice blog post :).
