Advice

Steps on how to do well in an interview

Good morning! It's a beautiful day, and Britain has decided to leave the EU! What did you guys vote for? Contact me on my social media platforms above :).
Any who, I have recently had a new job interview, and I think it went rather well, they have called me in for a trail day; and I can't wait! :D
I thought that it would be a great idea to show my tricks and tips on how to have a successful interview. If you want to find out, look below and have a little read.

If you want to read more advice on the blog, click here!

Make a good first impression:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early:
    This shows the interviewer that you are keen to meet them, and that you can manage your time well. This is a good strength to have, as if you are successful after the interview they will be able to rely on you to turn up to work on time; and that they can give you a detailed an proper brief of what they need to do that day.
  • Dress the part:
    Be smart! Putting on a suit doesn't hurt, and making sure everything is perfect is key. When an interviewer sees you that's what they judge you on, before you have even said anything. If you have a scruffy shirt, and your hair is greasy etc. They have already lost interest, as they wouldn't want somebody like that representing their business.
  • Greet them well:
    Be confident and give them a firm handshake, ask how they are doing, what they've done today. Be interested in their conversation and find common ground. Showing that you are interested in what you have to say, builds a better rapport; it makes them more likely to pick you as they have such a great connection to you.

Do your research:

History:
I'm not saying you need to know EVERYTHING about the history of the company, but it helps to know certain details as it shows that you have done your homework, that you really want to work for them as you've taken the time out of your day to not only revise this, but remember it to.
Key things to research would be:
  1. When did they become a business?;
  2. how many stores do they have?;
  3. do they have any stores abroad?;
  4. what do they sell, and how to they sell it?;
  5. how successful have they been? Find awards;
  6. how much have they grown since they've started?
If you can apply this information in the questions that they ask you, and answer it confidently, this is perfect. This will tick a few boxes for them, as they know they have the right person.

Good strengths to have:

In an interview, they will commonly ask for 3 strengths and how it will benefit their company. Here are a few which I've said in previous interviews:
  1. Punctual;
  2. positive;
  3. quick learner;
  4. good communicator (communication skills)
  5. good attention to detail (perfectionist).
All of these are fantastic strengths, as it entails and meets the guidelines of what you would need in an everyday working environment. For example, if you're a quick learner, this will benefit the company because they will be able to trust you to do things correctly. And when it comes to training you in a brand new sector; they already know that you are the perfect candidate because you can pick things up so quickly.

Good weakness to have:

The interviewer tries to trick you, but you have to say something because if you don't, they might assume that you are big-headed.
Something that I have ALWAYS said, because is true, that I'm, too much of a perfectionist
Turning a negative into a positive is great! They will then think, 'she/he is passionate about their work and likes it a certain way, I can't fault that'.
BUT! If you make your weakness too realistic, for example, 'I don't like getting up in the morning', that gives the interviewer the wrong impression and knocks off points for you. So DON'T say that.

Be prepared:

In an interview, it helps to know some of the questions beforehand, it as gives you a better chance on how to answer it. For example, these are the most common questions I have been asked in an interview:
  1. Why do you want to work for us?;
  2. why do you think you are perfect for this role?
  3. what do you know about the company?;
  4. tell us about a time where you have worked in a team, and what was the outcome?
You can revise these questions, prepare your answers and revise your responses at home. This shows the interviewer that you are well prepared for the interview, and they are more likely to hire you than other candidates.

Thank you for taking your time to read this post! I hope it's helped you in some way shape and form! If you want anymore advice, don't hesitate to contact me. My social platforms are listed above and down below:).
Have a lovely day, and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Review

Neal's Yard Remedies:
Nourishing Orange Flower NIGHT CREAM

Disclaimer: I have not been paid by Neal's Yard, I've tried quite a few of their products, and I'm interested to see what this one is like.

Good morning Little ones! What are you doing today? Voting to stay in or out of the EU? I know I am :).
Any who, I've recently purchased a new facial moisturiser, and I've fallen in love with it, probably one of my favourite products from Neal's Yard, (and there's a lot); but it's perfect for my dry and sensitive skin.
If you want to have a little gander and find out more information on this product look below and enjoy reading :)

If you want to read another review, click here!

PRESENTATION:

Professional and stunning. The iconic velvet royal blue glass containers scream luxury. When you place this gem in your hand you feel important and upper class; to obtain this product makes me feel content and pleased with my purchase as I know that my hard earned money was spent well. People know, (even if they aren't regular customers) recognise where this product is from; simply because Neal's Yard is the only skincare brand that obtain this packaging; no other business in their competitors have this. Which is fantastic as they stand out from he crowd.
Neal's Yard, when creating their products evidently thought of which colours would compliment each other well; in this case cream and black; they again use this on ALL their products; whether it's: hair care, skincare or make up; they are consistent throughout. This gives me a positive impression that that they care about what their packaging looks like, they want it to look professional and beautiful; taking this much time and effort into your products and company, informs me that you care about what your customers are buying; thus the enchanting presentation.
On the other hand, I feel that Neal's Yard logo is a breath of fresh air, I love the tree, and the different perspectives of that tree. The message behind this shows me that it's not just a beauty product, this is deeper than that; we want to remain true to you, we try out best as a company, and we do that without harming nature, or animals.
In regards to the font, it's clear, which makes it easy for EVERYONE in the market to read, if you have poor eyesight you will still be able to understand what's being presented in front of you. Which makes me love this company even more; they have taken into consideration the eyesight of others; this is a caring and charming company; and their products are holy grail.

THE PRODUCT:

This facial moisturiser is a God send. I know it says 'night cream', but they penetrate and nourish the skin deeper than a mosituriser you would use in the morning; I use this in my morning and night-time routine. I have been on the market for a new moisturiser for a while, I have VERY dry skin, and the heat increase in the UK has only made it worse. My skin peels on my nose, side of my nose and cheeks; it ruins my make-up because the dry skin peels the foundation off my skin.
After my job interview I went into Neal's Yard in St Albans. I spoke to the lady and explained my situation; she tried the product on me and I bought it. BEST DECISION EVER!
Because of the oils held within the product it penetrates though not one, but two layers on skin. It's not sticky and it blends in beautifully. It creates the perfect base for when you apply your make up, and is comfortable when you are about to sleep, as it doesn't stick to the pillow.
In addition to this, neroli, (a type of flower oil essence), creates a comforting and subtle smell; when I apply this to the face it makes me feel that I'm in a field of wild flowers; it also creates nostalgia of when I used to ride my bike in the forests; they were the days. This positive memory floods back every morning and evening and brings a smile to my face.

HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT:

  1. Clean your face, make sure you have no make up on the surface of your face;
  2. use your desired facial toner;
  3. dip your finger into the moisturiser pot, (a little goes a long way so you don't need much);
  4. rub it into the skin; massage the face if you want, (this will create better circulation).
I use this product in the morning, and before I go to bed and I haven't even made a dent :).

PRICE:

The Nourishing Orange Flower NIGHT CREAM retails for £25, this is perfect! I say this because I have spent double if not triple on some moisturisers' and they have not worked out as well as this! If anything they dried my skin out even more! I feel that £25 for 50g is a bargain, like I've said previously, a little goes a long way, I have used this twice a day everyday for a week, and I haven't even dented it :'). I feel that this will last me for 3-6 months, £25 every 6 months doesn't sound bad, a single meal and Prezzo costs more than that! Not only that, but you are buying into a well made and caring company, this product is 100% vegan, and they fight against animal cruelty; which is a massive bonus for me.

If you are interested in buying this pot of gold click the link below :)

Like always Little ones, I hope you have had a lovely day, stay tuned and see you soon :) x x x

Dentist experience

My fear of the dentist

Disclaimer: If  you are scared of the dentist, please don't read this!
Hello and good morning! It's a grey start to the day in the UK, but I'm here writing another blog post for you. I'm going to be sharing, my fear of the dentist and why my fear took over my life. These are true stories of what I'm about to write, it doesn't mean that these will happen to you.
If you can relate to these circumstances, you will be able to understand why I' terrified of the dentist.

If you want to know about my before and after braces transformation click here!

Brief teeth history:

I was born 3 months premature, this had a huge impact in the growth and development of my teeth. When my baby teeth came through as bruised and oddly shaped. Seeing this as a child is shocking and terrifying. especially when you are comparing your teeth to other children's which are pearly white and pristine. I thought that when my adult teeth would come to play it would be fine. But it wasn't. They also came through as bruised, grey and white, with a hint of yellow discoloration on a few teeth. Not just that, but I had teeth above the gum-line, overcrowding and extra teeth; I looked like a shark, and that was one of the many names I was called. When it came to looking after them I was good for several years, but the bullying got to a point where I thought 'what was the actual point'; I would brush them only once a day, a few days a week. I would lie to my parents about brushing them. This made the trips to the dentist interesting.

Early memories at the dentist:

I don't remember many, but from what my mother has told me. At the age of 3 I would sit in the waiting room and cry, and this was before I had even sat in the chair of doom. She would constantly say, "your teeth need improving, they are dinosaur like". She would be rough with my mouth and make me bleed. My mum would always hold my hand, she would sit here and keep quiet. But this was just the beginning of the dentist.

Year 6 rolled around, I was 10 years old. I remember walking to the dentist with my mother beside me and I was shaking with nerves. We entered the waiting room, check in, I would sit in the chair and sob silently. As soon as my name was called my heart was in my mouth, tight chest alongside with a burning sensation. I would walk in slowly, little legs trembling. Sitting there in the chair, piercing light in my eye, same witch inspecting my mouth. She would pull vigorously on my mouth, stating that my sisters teeth were perfect, and that mine were "awful" in comparison. As she was checking my mouth with one of the metal tools she slipped and sliced the inside of my cheek. I let a a scream and cried. "Don't fuss". I ended up calming down, after 3 nurses were called into the room. She then said "she needs a filling". Her words hurt more than slicing my cheek, I cried with nerves, thinking that this was going to be the worst pain in the world. The sound of the drill made me numb, I had nurses either side, holding my hand as a shook with fear. She was rushing the entire process, it was extremely painful, and no numbing solution was applied. I was in so much pain, I cried through the entire process, I wanted her to stop and slow down, but she wouldn't.
This terrible experience was one of the reasons why I was so scared of the dentist. her terrible attitude and lack of care for me was another. And the dentist I attended was unprofessional. For example, the receptionist looked dirty, she wore too much make-up for work, despite her boss telling her to tone it down; as it gave the wrong impression. The waiting room was dull and uncharacteristic, and there was nothing for children to do if they were nervous.

Year 8, it was similar to other experiences, I would cry on the way there, and have a panic attack when I was called into the room. I was also due to have another filling, I had remembered my other experiences and I was terrified. This time they tried to inject me with local anesthetic, instead of hiding the needle, she showed me what she was about to inject in my mouth, and then said, "stay still or this will hurt terribly". That being said, and she knowing what I'm like, having seen me for 8/9 years she still continued to scare me. I cried hysterically, and she told me to "don't be so stupid". When she put the needle in, 3 nurses again had to hold me down, I shut my eyes as tight as I could and waited for it to be over. Fast forward to her drilling, the sound of the drill bought me back to my various traumatic experiences in the chair. I started to panic, and then stopped breathing as it made it easier for the dentist to do her job. Me being as still as possible, she moves and misses my tooth, she drills my tongue! MY TONGUE! She was drilling my top teeth, I was being still and she moved towards my tongue...
At first I was numb, a few moments later the burning sensation started emerging, I put my hand below my mouth and it was covered in blood. I screamed and tried to move out of the room. The nurses held me down and said "it will be over soon", my dentist said in a lighthearted voice, "ops, how clumsy of me". After getting me to calm down she continued doing what she was doing. I was sobbing in the chair looking at my mum and saying that I want it to be done and over with.

Year 10, I was 15 at this point, and I was booked in for another filling, this is because my teeth were so weak I needed artificial support. You would think that with age I would become braver, but my fear of the dentist didn't fade. I still had my mum with me, talking to her calms down my nerves but hearing my name being called into that room sets me off and makes me panic. All the flashbacks of what's happened previously put me on edge. Again I walk in slowly, with small shaky legs. Sitting in the chair, bright lights in my face. Preparing what's about to happen, 3 nurses are there holding my legs and rubbing them to calm me down, another nurse beside me holding my hand, and my mum holding my other hand. The dentist says, "you are making such a fuss you silly little girl" and then tuts. A burning sensation exerts through my body, I was so upset and embarrassed; but this was her fault for why I felt like this in the first place. She started drilling my tooth, I was complain like the previous experiences, and yet again I stopped breathing. She then move and drills the back of the wrong tooth! I scream in pain and begin to cry. The experience was over. A few weeks pass and a throbbing pain starts to settle in, it gets worse over time. Because the dentist had drilled the back of the wrong tooth I couldn't brush it properly which caused a mass amount of infection. I was in the worst amount of pain, apart from suffering with severe IBS, but that's another story.  I went to the dentist with my mum again, I was not prepared for the amount of pain I was about to endure. I went into the consulting room, and my mum had said that this was her fault, she then said "if you daughters teeth weren't so misplaced I could have done my job properly". That was a tense atmosphere. She then said, "that tooth is coming out". I puked. I was terrified, I cried like I haven't cried before. I was shaking to the point where it was scaring my mum. They had to have a total of 4 nurses and the receptionist to calm me down. They injected me with the local anesthetic, she said if I could feel anything, and I could. She gave me 3 more doses, at that point she couldn't give me anymore because it was against the policy and the law. But I felt everything. I felt the clamp ripping my tooth, I told her to stop but she didn't. She ignored my duty of care and continued. The nurses as to hold me down, I was gripping the receptionist hands so tight I made her bleed. Their was a contrast wiggle and pull for 5 minutes. I was screaming, crying and having a panic attack. I felt my root leave my mouth. From then onward everything was numb, I was in so much pain I passed out. I remember waking up and holding my chin and I was COVERED in blood. I was told that this was not normal to loose that amount of blood. I started to panic, but I was so weak, the witch told me to "be silent". She shoved a cotton bud in the whole and pushed hard, and then said "sorry"; and then smiled.

To this current day I am still scared of the dentist, I haven't been in 1 year 6 months as I have been getting my teeth checked at the orthodontist. But I have an appointment soon and I'm dreading it. Although I have a new dentist, as the other one was fired, or as she said "she's going away". But she's been "away" for quite some time. He's a nice dentist, but I'm still trumatised with what has happened. These aren't all the stories, these are just 3 out of the many horror stories
This was just my experience with the dentist, my sister had NO trouble what so ever, and neither did my mum. It was only ME. I feel that she done this on purpose as she hated my teeth and wanted me to feel bad.
This does not happen to everyone, this was just my experience, the people I have spoken to this has NEVER happened to them. The more people I spoke to, the more publicity this dentist got until she was actually fired.

Thank you for reading this post, it was a very hard one for me to make, as it gives me subtle flashbacks of the traumatic experiences. Hopefully on my next appointment I won't be so sacred, as I'm 19 and been through a lot worse with my orthodontic treatment.
Thank you for reading this post, if you are going through this then I hope this helps you because you aren't alone. It does get better in the end, I'm still hoping that my end is near :).
I hope you are all well, and if you need to ask me any questions email me or leave a comment down below :)

Stay tuned Little ones, see you soon :) x x x

Vegan Recipe

Strawberry pancake recipe:

Good morning everyone! How are you feeling today? I'm up and early to give you another new recipe! You can have these piles of fun for breakfast! They are filling and long lasting. If you want to look on how to make these tasty treats, look below and follow my simple steps :).

If you want to see other vegan recipe click here!

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams self-raising flour;
  • 100 ml almond milk;
  • 8 strawberries and (extra for decoration-optional);
  • 2tbs olive oil
  • salt;
  • golden syrup (optional).
Top tip: The strawberries have a very high water content, when you mix them in with the batter in thins it out. Also when you cut into them they are gooey; but it's only the strawberries excess water coming through.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Put your pan on a low heat (setting 2-3); this ensures that when you've made the batter the pan would heat up enough. You don't want a high setting as it will burn the surface and leave the inside raw;
  2. sift the flour into a bowl and add a sprinkle of salt;
  3. pour in the almond milk and mixed till combined;
  4. add the oil and mix until the mixture is elastic;
  5. add the strawberries, take a fork and crush them into the mixture; this method ensures that you will have tiny strawberry pieces in your pancake;
  6. spoon in a small or large amount of mixture (depends how big you want your pancakes); and place them into the center of the pan;
  7. put a tiny amount of oil on the pan before hand, don't want them to stick;
  8. cook one side for two minutes, flip over and cook the other side for two minutes;
  9. repeat this process until you have no mixture left;
  10. put your extra toppings on the side, this would be the stawberries and golden syrup for me;
  11. ENJOY! :D

Why these ingredients?

Strawberries:
A strawberry is an excellent antioxidant, this means that they are the first call when it comes to fighting diseases in the body; they also prevent causing other damage to other cells. Strawberries also donate electrons to unstable free radicals. This means that they don't have to take electrons from innocent cells.

Almond milk:
Almond milk is filled with potassium, this helps prepare and enhance: cells, tissue and organs in the human body. This is essential in everyday life, you always need to repair yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I would love to see your recreations! Post them on Instagram or Twitter!
I hope you have a lovely day, and I will see you soon! Stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Vegan Recipe

Vegan Pizza Recipe:

Hello! And good evening! How have you all been today? It's been beautiful weather in the UK today, and I went for a job interview; I feel that it went really well, and if so I will update you guys on that very shortly :).
I thought that I would share my other secret love ... Pizza, but even better! Vegan pizza! If you want to know how to make this beauty, look below and follow my simple steps :).

If you want to look at another recipe click here!

Ingredients for the base:

  • 100 grams self-raising flour;
  • 100ml warm water;
  • 2tbs olive oil

Ingredients for the topping:

  • 3tbs red pesto sauce;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 garlic clove;
  • 1 chili;
  • parsley

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180;
  2. prepare your vegetables, chop the: onion, garlic, chili and parsley;
  3. Sift your flower into a bowl, and create a circle in the middle;
  4. Pour the water and oil into the bowl and mix;
  5. place the dough onto a flat surface, place flour into your hands and start to kneed the dough; do this for 5 minutes;
  6. place the dough on greaseproof paper and roll the dough with a rolling pin until it's as thick as you want it to be;
  7. spread the red pesto sauce onto the dough evenly;
  8. place the: garlic, onion and chili onto the pizza;
  9. put into the oven for 20 minutes, and turn halfway;
  10. put the pizza on the plate and sprinkle chopped parsley
  11. ENJOY! :D

Why these ingredients?

Garlic:
Depending on how we prepare our garlic depends on how much nutrients we get out of it; this is why I have suggested either: cutting or crushing. This increases the enzymes within the garlic, these enzymes can prevent cancer.

Parsley:
Parsley has a huge amount of vitamin K, this helps builds bones and heals heart disease. in addition to this, parsley also has vitamin A, which as we already know is great for our eyes, and acts as a fantastic antioxidant.

Red pesto:
Pesto is enriched with vitamins A and C, this helps boost your immune system, this will help fight infection, while keeping you fit and healthy. Whereas vitamin A is good is amazing for you eye health; it makes them stronger as well as being a great antioxidant.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this post! I hope you have had a lovely day! Stay tuned Little ones, and I will see you soon :) x x x

Teeth Transformation

Before and after braces:

Hello you lovely people, and good afternoon! I hope you are having a lovely day, it's been awful weather in the UK! Hopefully we get some sun soon, I want to tan and get ready for France in August:). If you have had braces, you know the pain of what I'm about to talk about, that being both mentally and physically. If you want to know about my before braces and after braces story, have a little look below and enjoy :).

If you want to look at more advice, click here!

Side note: I was born 3 months premature, this had a huge influence to how my teeth developed later in life.

Primary School:
Primary School was the foundation of torment and anxiety. I learnt from a young age that people were cruel and completely disgusting, if you weren't the ideal image. In my case my teeth were destroyed, they grew in all the wrong places, they were bruised when they started to come through. Not because I didn't take care of them, (my parents made sure that I brushed them).
At a young age I started to realise that I didn't fit in, that children found me strange because my appearance was different. My teeth weren't straight, and this was "unnatural". I was already a shy and scared little girl, but because of this it made me an easier target, they would taunt me and tease me every single day, "you're so ugly", "do you even brush your teeth", "moldy mouth" etc. You get the point.
I got this every single day of my life throughout primary school, and this had a huge impact on my mental health. I struggled to learn and communicate. There was a time where my anxiety was so bad in primary school that when I arrived late to assembly (I had a doctors appointment); I actually hid beneath a table, cried and wet myself. All because I didn't want everyone staring at me, pointing at me, or bullying me for 5 minutes.
In the perspective as an infant I didn't know about anxiety, I was a small innocent child, who had awful teeth. I didn't know how to deal with it, but cry and talk to my mum. She would make everything better, stroke my hair and tell me stories.
Telling the teachers did nothing but make it worse, as the bullies would find another reason to pick on me.
In primary school teachers don't take bullying seriously, they say, "they are only joking". I didn't find their "jokes" funny, and nor did my parents.

Secondary School:
Year 7

It was the start of a brand new school. I knew nobody, which I thought was perfect! My parents had reassured me that there are a lot more pupils, they are more understanding, and they can relate to you because they are all in the same boat. But I was damaged. I didn't know how to talk to people, the amount of students surrounding me was overwhelming and I didn't know how to deal with it. Before you knew it I was having severe panic-attacks, and I was only 11 years old.
Before you knew it, School pictures was up, and we were made to smile. In front of all the year 7's they saw my teeth ...
As I walked out of the hall, I could hear girls laughing, while pointing their finger at me. "Ew she's hideous, why are her teeth like that". I was broken. I thought I had left years of torment behind me, I thought that this was a new start and a new beginning for me. I was absolutely devastated. My confidence (what confidence), went from nothing, to never.

As the years progressed I just learnt to ignore it, with the help of therapy. But the anxiety was still there, lingering over me. I would never smile in any photographs, whether that be School related or friend. If I laughed I would always put my hand over my face. Anything that involved teeth I was terrified of, as well as disappointed; because I knew that my teeth were awful.
Although there were some key moments in my life, before I got braces which I still remember to this day.
Moment one:
I was 17 at this point. Still frail, still hating my teeth. Me and my Sister Alice were heading into town. I man started talking to my sister, saying that he liked her checkered jeans. We smile and laugh. He turns to me and says, "you can't be sisters because you have bad teeth and her teeth her straight".
My heart sank. My eyes streaming with tears. He looked so shocked and aplogised, but the damage was done. I was 17, and people still found me disgusting.
Moment two:
I had turned 18, and I was talking to this guy, we had been talking for months, I ever met the family. He turns around and questioned me why I always put my hand over my mouth when I spoke. I told him that I was uncomfortable talking without them there, they are my protection. He moves my hands and away, and puts the back and says, "I see why". Again I was heartbroken. Me and him never spoke again, I could never look at him the same, the fact that he thought that made me sick to my stomach.

Braces off:

I cried. I cried with happiness for the first time in my life over my teeth. I had been waiting for this day for 19 years, and it was finally here. Monday June 13th 2016 was the day my braces came off. After all the torment, terrifying dentist and orthodontist experiences. After all the mental and physical pain ... I had come face to face with beautiful looking teeth. I'm crying at this very moment just typing this. I'm still shocked in the morning when I wake up and see straight teeth. I'm beyond relief and happiness. The picture below was the first ever picture I had smiled in confidently in my 19 years on this earth. And it certainly won't be the last.

Some of this won't make sense as I haven't explained my fear of the dentist and orthodontist and what happened there. I will in a separate blog-post, but it's very traumatic and overwhelming for me to write it this very second.
I really do hope that this can help some people out there, as I know what it feels like.
I will try to upload a picture before, but I'm still too scared to let that free on the internet because it's such an ugly sight for me. It brings back all the tomernt and heartache.

I really so appreciate you all for reading this post, I will write separate blog posts about my past experiences at the dentist and the orthodontist at a later date.
I hope you have had a lovely day, and stay tuned for tomorrow, I have two new vegan recipes coming your way :).

I love you all so very much x x x

Shopping experience review

Lush Store review:

Hello and good morning Little ones! I'm heading off to get my retainers, but in the mean time I thought that I would write a quick blog post on my experience in most Lush stores.
Small disclaimer: I have not been paid by Lush to do this, I just wanted to share my positive experience at Lush.
If you want to know my Lush experience, sit back, relax and have a banana :).

Side-note: I have been working in retail for 3 years now, I know what is expected from: sales assistants, supervisor, managers etc. This has helped me an awful lot, as I know exactly what to look out for when heading into a store; for example, customer needs etc.

PRESENTATION:

  • Store layout:
    I have been to a multitude of Lush stores, and they always have a wide and spacious opening, this is also consistent throughout the entire store. This is a massive thumbs up for me, simply because my mother is disabled, she owns an electric scooter, I see her swerving through stores at times and there is no room for her! This aggravates me so much, but knowing that Lush offer a wide shop floor arrangement makes me extremely content. It also benefits the average Jo, it makes it easier for us to walk around the store, and not get in people's way. I know how frustrating it is when you want to look at the dragon egg bath bomb, but honey, please move :'). Something also that I love with Lush, especially on Oxford Street, they place the same product in different areas, so that people don't crowd around one product, this is bloody genius! Thank you Lush God! Gold star for Lush!
    In regards to where the products are in the store, they are clearly labeled, and have their own individual section. This is the best invention on earth, it makes the shopping experience so much easier and less stressful! From a customers point of view, the easier the company make my shopping experience, the more likely I am to buy into their brand. With Lush it's a no brainer! I love them as a company, they are perfection!
  • Products presentation:Lush never fail to make their products look beautiful, and tasty! I remember when I took my boyfriend Chris, and he thought he could eat the soap; he was confused when I said he couldn't :'). As shown in the pictures above, the soap bars look like luxury chocolates; but they are presented in a straight line. This shows that they are organised and consistent throughout; and this reflects their outstanding business. In addition to this, I love the way they place their bath bombs in a triangle formation, it looks astonishing and so professional. From a customers point of view, having products that look amazing makes me feel that the business cares about their business, and that they care what their customers think. Being a fan of Lush for years I know that they go the extra mile when it comes to their customers, anyone that goes to Lush will know what I'm talking about, and if you don't just look at how stunning their products are.
  • Staff presentation:
    They are consistent throughout, they all wear black and have aprons, just so they don't get their uniform dirty. It also hints that they are professional, simply because they are going to get messy during their job, especially when demonstrating a product. It lets the customer know that they look the part as well as acting like it. The fact that they are all consistent shows that they care about their image, and the impact that this has on the company; they evidently want to spread a positive message to their customers; and I get this 100% when I walk into a variety of stores.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Without fail, every time I enter a store, there is always someone there greeting every customer that walks in. They are content and friendly; it feels like you've pumped into a friend. When you've wondered around the store, you get various customer assistants coming up to you and asking if you need help. But they aren't pushy, it literally feels like a friend talking to you. As a customer, this is so important, if you make me feel comfortable I will want to stay in the store. They make me feel wanted, they care about my needs and expectations, and are completely chill if they have to explain the ins and outs of a product. They make it hassle free which is a bonus! I hate it when I go into stores and they make you feel like you are being a pain; this in NOT the case at Lush.
In addition to this, when you need a product explained to you, they will explain it slowly, they will tell you why it suits you, and if not they will recommend a different product. Which I find so helpful! As they want to make sure that they are benefiting you in every way shape and form. They also give you a live demonstration and let you test the products beforehand, this gives you the opportunity to see if you like the product or not, and if so they will pack it up for you.

All in all, the people I have met in Lush are the nicest people I have ever encountered, I always love going to their store and I wish we had one in Welwyn Garden City.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this little blog post! Have a lovely day!
See you soon Little ones, stay tuned :) x x x
