Good evening Little ones! How have you been the past few days? I've been diving into my Marketing course and I've been loving it. That being said, I've had to be extremely organised, which isn't an issue for myself, simply because I suffer with OCD, which means that everything has it's own place. But it's not just about that, it's finding the time between your studies and your personal life. Take this blog post as a help guide for starting University :).
If  you want tips and tricks on how to shuffle time around give this a little read.

If you want to read other advice blog posts, click here!

Hit the ground running on day one:

  • You will hear this constantly, even if you aren't at University, but if you want to be successful in your studies, or anywhere for that matter you NEED to start from day one. I have always done that, when I was at School, starting new jobs, and now that I'm at University I will be doing the same ... And I have been! For example, I was set my first assignment and it's due in for the 4th November ... I've already done most of my research, referenced and planned my essay. All I have to do now, is a bit more research, referencing and actually write my essay; which is what I aim to do this week. That may sound a bit excessive for some of you, but in order to stay in the game you have to put the work in; even if it means doing assignments weeks before they are due in.
  • In addition to this, do extra reading around your course, it doesn't hurt to know more information; if anything it will make life easier for you in the long-run. You will not be judged for being "the smart one". If anything you will be respected, simply because you know what you are talking about, believe it or not you are looked down on if you don't know what to do. Simply because you are at University now, you should know what to do, as you've chosen to do a degree on it.
  • Get on your teachers good side. Yes you may think, 'kissing their butt', but if you scratch their back they will scratch yours. In other words, if you are late to lectures, they won't mind. If you have good reasons, and if they know you personally they'll let it slide. Whereas if you don't treat them with respect, then why should they? If you don't do your work, turn up late all the time, and interrupt the learning of others; then they will simply kick you out; as you are a waist of their time.

Be organised:

I can't stress enough how organised you have to be, especially at University. It's not Sixth form or college, they aren't as lenient. If you miss a deadline that is it, no excuses will work! My teachers have told me and they have given me real life examples, so please stay organised Little ones. Some ways in which you can do this is by:
  • Get a weekly planner, I have one by knock knock which is amazing! It enables me to plan out my week, so I don't miss any deadlines, and I know what I can and can't do throughout the week. This is fantastic for University, it lets you organised your personal and work life without it clashing together and getting too much.
  • Do your work as soon as you get it! This is what I have always done and I have never looked back. It may sound annoying at first, but at least it is over and done with and you don't have to worry about it at all. This gives you more time to do research, have a social life, or have time for your hobbies, mine being my blog :).
  • Get in a group with you friends, organise a study session. This way you can be with the people you love, as well as doing the work. Some times tasks can seem daunting, take that stress away and be with your friends. That way you are still staying on top with your University work and you are with your friends at the same time.
Little ones this is now the end of the blog post, but don't fear I will be back tomorrow with a product review! I think you will really enjoy that one :).
I hope you have had a lovely day today, I know that I have, I really enjoyed work, and I'm now back at my studio apartment with Chris :), can't wait to snuggle up to him tonight.
Any who, sleep tight! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Good afternoon Little ones! How are you today? I've had no lectures, but I have been very productive! I've cleaned the apparent, gone shopping, planned future blog posts; and also bought the very ingredients for this blog post :). But I still have to do some more research for my first assignment; which is going very well, I'm aiming for an A and I think it's going that way! Any how, I thought that it would be great to show you some drink recipes! It's something I haven't done in a while; and I really miss making them! So here it is, get ready and have some fun!

Ingredients:

  • One entire bottle of elderflour (you can use flat or sparkling, it depends on what you want); I went with sparkling because my boyfriend adores fizzy drinks; especially when something sweet is involved;
  • 50 grams raspberries, (frozen or fresh), I went with frozen because I wanted something cold and refreshing;
  • 2 clementines;
  • ice cubes (optional).

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Prepare your fruit: peel  the oranges and cut them into cubes, put the correct amount of raspberries to one side, as well as the ice cubes;
  2. choose your required blender, I used the blendactive blender by Breville, I think it's fantastic, easy to use and easy to clean- if you want to see my review click here;
  3. put the fruit. ice and elderflower liquid into the blender;
  4. BLEND!
  5. Take it on the go or put them into glasses, and ENJJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Raspberry:
Raspberries is one of the greatest antioxidant foods, it cleanses the body and makes you feel great inside. As well as being super delicious, raspberries can also prevent cancer, science studies have shown this.

Clementines:
Clementines are juicy delights rich in variety of vital nutrients including minerals such ascalciummagnesiumpotassium. This is fantastic brain food, and also makes you feel awake. This is the perfect fruit in the morning, as it gives you enough energy to start the day.

Little ones, I'm sorry to say that this is the end of the blog post, but fear not! I will be back tomorrow with a fantastic review, stay tuned if you are interested. I hope you have had a lovely day, I know that I've had a really productive day; which makes one of my favourites. I love you all so very much! Remember I am only a message away if you want to talk to me or ask me anything; I will answer the best that I can :).

Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Advice-moving into University

Moving into University

If you want to keep up to date with that I do on a daily basis follow me on my social media above, and I'll be sure to follow you right back :).

Welcome back you lovely people! How are you today? I've just finished  a lecture, but I have to attend another one at 2pm; I'm so excited, I've really enjoyed my time here so far :).
That being said, I haven't really told you what it was like moving in, and how stressful it can be at times; even if you don't think it at the time. Before you ask Little ones, I will be doing a room tour soon, probably within the month; there are still some little bits and bobs I want to put in the room beforehand; I want it to be perfect for you guys :).
Any how, I'm going to show you parts of my University in this post, as well as telling you how you can move in if you have't already :).

If you want to read other advice blog posts, click here!

What University are you going to?

Depending where your University is located depends on the amount of stress it can cause for you. I was lucky  in that sense, simply because I'm located in Welwyn, but my University is in Bedfordshire; which makes quite a nice journey; especially if I've forgotten something; or want to visit family. On the other hand, if you have more than a 2 hour commute you have to do extra planning and take extra precautions; simply because you have to take everything with you in one trip. This isn't the time to worry, if anything embrace this very moment because this is going to make you a stronger person; you are about to start a new chapter in life; it won't be perfect but you are just starting out :).

A few things you might want to consider:

  • Make a list of everything you need:
    You are going to be a new University student, the last thing you need to be worrying about is what you need and how to get it. To keep the stress at bay, make a list of everything you need. Split it up into several categories. For example, kitchen, bedroom, beauty, clothes, stationary, desk etc. At least then you have a starting point, something to look at and go, 'that's so much off my plate already, this is that I need to get'.
    In my perspective I'm the type of person that loves making lists, so when the time came around for preparing to University I took advantage of list making and maxed it out. But this made it so much easier for me, it kept my anxiety away and helped me focus on moving in.
  • Tick off as you go:
    As previous mentioned about the list, (if you do decide to go ahead with it), tick the objects off as you go along. When you bought something cross if off your list, you now don't have to worry about it. Again this is what I did, and I love it! Every item that came off my list was a release of pressure, simply because it's less I have to worry about; and it will be the same for you too.
  • Keep everything organised:
    Once you have purchased everything ... I mean EVERYTHING! Keep it organised, what I mean by this is what you did with you list; splitting it up into different categories; do the same with your items, but in physical formation. For example, if you have: cups, bowls, plates etc. that's going to go in the kitchen box. Whereas, toilet paper, bleach, shower-gel is going to go in the bathroom section. If you do this and put them all in boxes and label it; it will make it so much easier to find and unpack on moving in day; I did this and it sped up the process even more.
  • Take your time:
    Slow and steady wins the race guys. Take your friends and family there for further support, they will be there for you every single step of the way. If you are going to rush around chances are that you will leave something behind; and you don't want that, not when you are starting a new chapter in life. If you are worried about moving in, don't be ... I worried for months and months and that didn't help me one bit; I was worried about not getting in, and that wasn't the case for me! I could finally be free and I am now and I love it! So stop worrying Little ones, I am here to help and support you, you are never alone :).
  • My experience with moving in:
    I want to say that I was extremely lucky! First and foremost I was not moving in alone, I was moving in with my boyfriend, and secondly, I already knew people at the University, I already had friends there; so I wasn't alone in that aspect either. I had my Dad which loaded the car and moved all my products into my studio apartment; he was calm throughout the entire experience; in which I loved because it made me feel calm and content about the entire situation.
    Currently I am now fully moved in, with a studio apartment I love, I just need to add some bits and bobs and I will show you the lovely home me and Chris have created. I also want to thank my friends and family who have helped and supported me along the way; without them I probably wouldn't be here today.
My Little ones, this is now the end of the blog post, I'm hoping you found this helpful! If you need to ask me any more questions about my experience, or what my first week of University has been like; please let me know in the comment section down below, or on my social media, I will take all the time out of my day to help you guys :).
You are my little internet family and I love you for that! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones! And if you moving into University, or go to the same one as me say hello! I would love to get to know you :)

Non-vegan date night recipe

Creamy chicken and spinach pasta

If you want to keep up to date with that I do on a daily basis follow me on my social media above, and I'll be sure to follow you right back :).

Good morning you lovely people! How was your day yesterday? I had a gorgeous meal with my man last night, I was also meant to post this yesterday but I was so tired due to my lectures; I just wanted to hit the hay. Any how, what are you up to today? I don't have another lecture until 2 this afternoon! I can relax until then :).
I thought that it was about time to introduce something new to my blog, so here it is! Non-vegan recipes, I will post these throughout the week, I want to reach a wider target audience; and if that means bringing non-vegan meals into the equation then so be it :).
I hope you enjoy these romantic recipe, hopefully see you in the next one :).

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Fundamentally, the story behind this meal wasn't as romantic as it portrays. Me and my other half were so stressed, due to work and our own personal life; that toppled on moving in; it just got too much. We wanted our own time together, in which we have finally obtained. We created this meal to celebrate our new chapter together; in which I was so happy and he was too. We finally have our own home; it feels amazing to share a home with my Christopher :).
As shown in the pictures above the meal wasn't vegan, Chris didn't want an entire vegan meal, which I can completely understand ; I'm not going to make him change his diet because of me; that would be so unfair. So I ate the meal with him, I'm still vegan but I'm not entirely strict about turning other people vegan; if they want to do it then so be it; but I'm not going to kick up a fuss. Especially in this circumstance, Chris wanted to have a non-vegan meal, so I agreed to let that happen; it's not a moment of weakness; it's being respectful to the people I love.
In addition to this, I was thinking about my non-vegan friends, and they wanted me to post non-vegan recipes, so that they can recreate what I do on the internet, so here I am, giving what the people want :).

INGREDIENTS:

  • 100 grams gluten free pasta (I have to eat this pasta because gluten makes my tummy angry);
  • 50 grams spinach;
  • 50ml single cream;
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese;
  • 1 chili;
  • 2 chicken breast;
  • olive oil (for the frying pan);
  • salt

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS;

  1. Pour 500ml of boiled water into a pan, add a pitch on salt and stir;
  2. put the pasta into the pan and put the lid in-top. Then turn the power onto a low simmer (1-2), cook for 8-10 minutes;
  3. when the pasta is cooking prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breast into fine chunks, this will make it cook faster.
  4. put oil in a frying pan and turn the heat to number 5, wait until it's boiling hot. When the pan has reached the correct temperature throw the chicken chunks in;
  5. drain the pasta and add the single cream, when the creamy concoction is steaming and boiling add all the spinach until it wilts (this will take around 5 minutes);
  6. add the already cooked chicken from earlier and stir well;
  7. add the parmesan and stir until there is cheese everywhere;
  8. plate up and add extra cheese on top (if you want);
  9. ENJOY!:D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS:

Spinach:
Abundant flavonoids in spinach act as antioxidants to keep cholesterol from oxidizing and protect your body from free radicals, particularly in the colon. The folate in spinach is good for your healthy cardiovascular system, and magnesium helps lower high blood pressure.

Chicken:
Chicken as we all know contains an mass amount of protein, this repairs your muscles and insures that they won't rip or pull. This is crucial in your diet if you do weight-training or any form of sports. In a way I had to have chicken yesterday, since I'm now back in the gym.

This is the end of my blog post, I really hoped you enjoyed this! It was highly requested to do non-vegan recipes, I just want to give to you ALL. If you are vegan or not. I hope that you respect the way that I have chosen to do my blog; I just want to give to everyone; I want to make EVERYONE happy :).
I love you all so very much, if you have anymore questions or requests please do let me know in the comment section down below; or my social media. Have a lovely day and I will see you again later!

Vegan recipe-raspberry rock-cakes

Raspberry rock-cakes

Welcome again Little ones! How are you today? I feel the autumn hitting, the leaves are turning and I love it. I've been having a relaxing day today, it was also my Mothers Birthday! She was ever so happy with what I bought her :). Other than spending time with her I thought that it was about time to experiment in the kitchen and make another vegan recipe! So here it is ladies and gents! Get in that kitchen and start cooking!

If you want to see another vegan recipe, click here!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams self-raising flour;
  • salt;
  • 50 grams caster sugar;
  • 50 grams coconut oil (put in the fridge before use, this is your butter subsistence);
  • 15ml almond milk;
  • 25 grams frozen raspberries.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees;
  2. prepare baking tray: brush on vegetable oil onto a baking pan and place over grease-proof paper, this is where you will place your cakes later;
  3. Sift the flour and pinch of salt into a large bowl;
  4. take the coconut oil out of the fridge, this should be solid enough to place into the flour, you should then rub the flour and coconut oil together until it forms fine breadcrumbs;
  5. put the caster sugar into the flour mixture and mix until well combined;
  6. put in the raspberries and mix until well combined, there should be a raspberry in every bite of the rock-cake;
  7. pour in the almond milk, stir until all the cake batter has joined together;
  8. take some of the mixture into your hands and place onto the baking sheet you prepared earlier. Make a circle, but do it imperfectly (as shown in the first picture), this makes it more authentic;
  9. repeat stage 8 until all the mixture has been used up;
  10. put into the oven for 15 minutes, you know they are done when the edges are golden brown;
  11. put onto a plate and ENJOY! :D

WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?

Raspberry:
Raspberries is one of the greatest antioxidant foods, it cleanses the body and makes you feel great inside. As well as being super delicious, raspberries can also prevent cancer, science studies have shown this.

Almond milk:
Almond milk is filled with potassium, this helps prepare and enhance: cells, tissue and organs in the human body. This is essential in everyday life, you always need to repair yourself.

Coconut oil:
Coconut oil high in natural saturated fats. Saturated fats not only increase the healthy cholesterol (known as HDL) in your body, but also help to convert the LDL “bad” cholesterol into good cholesterols. So if you are on a high fat diet, try coconut oil instead, it will benefit your heart at the end of the day.

Ok Little ones! This is the time where I depart, but don't you worry I will be back later on with something new! Sounds exciting right?! I will be introducing a new segment to my blog entirely; find out later on by following my social media! :D

It was fun making these bundles of joys, please show me your recreations, or tell me if you loved them, I know me and my boyfriend did :).
Any how, I love you all so very much, see you again soon! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :)

Hello! How are you guys? I'm finally settled in my new place at University, I have a beautiful window view- I can finally people watch and have no one judge me ;).
I'm currently dying my friends hair, it looks interesting non the less, let's see how that plays out :'). Any-who! I am here, and I have a Body Shop haul for you. I picked up a few bits and pieces from The Body Shop, this was before Uni, and now that I am here I thought I would show you :).
If you love The Body Shop, or you like these types of blog posts, then keep on reading :).

WHAT A BOUGHT:

  • British Rose Body Scrub;
  • British Rose Shower Gel;
  • Strawberry Shower Gel;
  • Argon Oil Shower Gel;
  • Coconut Cream Shower Gel;
  • Grapefruit Shower Gel

MINI REVIEW:

BRITISH ROSE COLLECTION:
I had already previously purchased the British Rose collection, I love roses, they are my favourite flower,plus my middle name is rose, so pluses right? Any how, it smells absolutely beautiful! The formula of the shower gel is stunning, it's extremely creamy and nourishing for the skin. The Body Shop use pure rose extract, this is super beneficial for your skin and health, for example it detoxes the skin; it releases all the unhealthy oils beneath and clears your pours, if you suffer with back acne this is the shower gel for you.
In regards to the body scrub it was my first time trying it from this collection, the tiny beads held within this product is amazing! It's not too rough, so you can actually scrub this as hard as you can; and it won't cause bleeding, (this has happened to me with some scrubs). The smell is the same as the shower gel, which goes to show that they can't fake the product, what I mean by this is that some companies try and mimic the smell of particular objects and they fail because it's fake. The Body Shop use 100% natural ingredients, which is why all their products smell like the real deal.

COCONUT CREAM:

Fundamentally, this is the only shower gel that has a different texture to the others, for example the other shower gels are really creamy and thick, whereas this one is double that! Because it's a shower cream it's extra creamy; which means more nourishment! So if you have dry skin like me, and so happens to love the smell of coconut; then this is the product for you! Even if you don't have dry skin but loves coconut then give this a whirl; it smells delicious.

BODY SHOP SHOWER GEL OVERVIEW:

Fundamentally, all the shower gels that I have purchased above is amazing! Since I discovered The Body Shop years ago, I have never bought any other shower gel but these. First and foremost they don't test against animals, second of all, they are the best smelling shower gels EVER! They smell like the real thing! I would highly recommend these products, I have always used them. I have sensitive and very dry skin and they don't dry them out, if they did I would not waste my money on them! On the other hand, they look stunning, their packaging in perfection. They really let the colour shine through; as well as this, they are consistent throughout. For example, they have the significant black stripe running through the middle; this makes the flavour of the shower gel evident; and it also makes it look classy.

This is the end of the blog post, if you like this type of post then let me know and I will do more! Now that I am at University I will put more time into blogging! I love you all so much! An update on my life will be given to you shortly! But tomorrow is my mothers Birthday, I might even show you how it goes; it really does depend on how she feels about it :).
I love you all so very much, see you tomorrow! Stay safe and stay tuned Little ones :) x x x

Hello Little ones! How have you been the past few days? I've been dealing with what I'm currently writing about, pretty stressful right? This is why I have been absent for 2 days, I really am sorry about that; but I thought I would make up for that by telling you about it!
Tomorrow I will be treating you guys to a Body-Shop haul, how exciting! As for now it's a story time, which you ALL need to look out for! Keep your eyes pealed and details close to your heart!
Have a little read if you want, it may benefit you in the long-run :).

If you want to read another story time click here!

BACKSTORY:

I'm an extremely anxious human being. I NEVER leave receipts out in the open, I shred everything that has my details on; this is what my mother taught me, and I go by her standards. It may sound ridiculous, but not when there are evil people out there trying to take your hard-working money away from you. In addition to this, I have never been the one to put excessive amounts of card information on the internet; the only time I would EVER do this would be online shopping; which I don't think I will be doing for a while; because of a recent situation that has happened to me.

WHAT HAPPENED:

Profoundly, I was on the internet, doing the usual-research, social media and replying to emails. One caught my eye, it was an email from Gov.com. It stated that I was due a tax rebate; which I found amazing at the time; it looked like a legit email ... So I put my card details in, as well as my full name and address. All PERSONAL information. I was thinking to myself that this was perfect, I was getting paid soon and this on top would of been perfection!
The positive thoughts stopped when I received a text message from my bank, it stated that my account was being hacked into and that I needed to phone the fraud department as soon as possible. My heart was in my mouth, I couldn't believe that this was happening to me! I was always careful with my money, I had no idea at this point in time how this could of happened. I looked up the number that the bank text me on; just to make sure that it was the bank, simply because I didn't want to disclose any personal information over the phone to fakes. It was a legit number so I called them, they stated, "did you try and pay for something on Maplins for £420?" I urgently said, "no". Panic was rifling down my body, my hands were clammy from the sweat, I had no idea what to do, the lady's words sounded like a blur. It took a few moments for me to snap back to reality and think that I had to do something, and something quick! She said, "we will put a block on your account, we are also sending you a new card in 2 working days" She also said, "for them to of done this they would of has to of known ALL your personal information". It was then that it clicked ... The email ... I had put all my personal information on there, my heart sank and I began to sob. She consulted me while I told her what I had done by mistake. She reassured me that my account was blocked and she would unblock in when my new card arrived, just so I would be able to spend my money when I got paid. I was worried of what she thought of me, that I was a careless young child that couldn't look after my details, I poured my heart out to this person, she did nothing but laugh a little and say that this happens all the time; and that this had happened to her a few years back. She was ever so kind.
In this current situation I now have my new card and my anxiety has gone away for the time being.

KEY TIPS:

If you have received an EMAIL from GOV it's NOT real! It's FAKE! The government will only get into contact with you over the phone, or they will send you a letter in a BROWN envelope!
I thought that they could send out emails, but they don't! Although they offer online services they do not require you to fill out any personal information on the web, only over the phone! Something else you need to know, is that if you are owed a tax rebate, you can ONLY do this OVER THE PHONE. They will take your information over the phone, and they will NOT ask for card details. They will send you a check in the post with your rebate. I repeat they do NOT ask for card information, if they do they are FAKE!

This is now the end of my blog post, I know this is a very scary topic, but I want to make sure that my Little ones are safe and sound. If this has happened to you, or someone you know, or if you are unsure then at least you know now.
Please don't do what I did, it was a tough lesson to learn, but I didn't know at the time, it was too late. But I am ok now, and you guys will be as well!
